Just got home from ultimate. Three games and my teams won the first two, but lost the last one.

Some great catches on my part, several one-handed catches. Also had some ridiculous non-catches near the middle of the first game. I seemed to get over that though.

Best catch was disc thrown overhand with the disc oriented vertically (throw called "the blade") It was right at my neck level and John was running right toward me to cover it. I basically put left my hand straight out over his shoulder and caught it perfectly.

The second game was memorable for a couple reasons:

1. John and I picked teams for each other. "Okay, you get this guy." "You get this guy." "Okay, you take this person." "Okay, you get ____" etc etc until everyone was picked.
2. The game went into crazy overtime. We play to 7 points, win-by-two. We won 12 to 10. Wait I think it was 13 to 11. Now I don't remember. The game was long.

I opted out of the third game until I saw it was 4 people against 5 people. So I joined the 9 players for 5 on 5. Our team lost pretty effectively. 7 to 3. But I did get one great crazy awesome catch. Wait maybe that was the second game.

In any case, I had fun!

I didn't even hear Wende leave this morning. Not her wake-up alarm, not her unsetting and resetting the house alarm, not her saying bye to me. wow.

I'm going now to get stuff together for investment club meeting.

Today in our investment club we voted to purchase our first three stocks: 10 each of Men's Wearhouse, Ericsson, and The Gap. A bit of diversity and hopefully some winning securities!

I drove home and Wende's truck was there, but there was a note on the door: "Come to Hobbit Cafe! I'll order you a fungus sandwich." I like mushrooms, so I left immediately for Hobbit Cafe.

Wende, my dad, and Elise were there! Lovely! They had pretty much just arrived; hadn't even ordered yet.

I showed them my new crazy fun keyboard and Elise and dad each took a turn writing me a note on it. Fun!

Now Wende and I are home about to sleep.
