I missed the KTRU meeting by an hour. It was at 8pm, but I looked at my clock at 8:57pm. I was pissed to have missed it! Meg told me flatly calm down. However, not only had I missed the KTRU meeting, but I would be late for the concert after the KTRU meeting.

The concert was a girl band, whose members I had met the previous night; we were all standing around talking in some mysterious house, and it was raining outside. Cold rain slicing onto the porch at a 30 degree angle from the ground. Soon it was late, and everyone was sleeping in their rooms, while I wandered around the house, marveling at the rain.

Rat Race

Saw Rat Race with Tina today (free tix cause she works at the theater). It started out not entirely funny, but they pulled all the threads together in a pretty funny way in the end. Plus a couple good plot twists, and some wacked out betting humor.

I was reminded of a book (The Blue Adept???) that described a futuristic society where the rich bet on everything. The rich guys in this movie did too. And they bet on some gross/wack things.

My favorite favorite scene was the helicopter scene.

Oh, and the jeep trying to pull over the radar was great.

Good enough to see at a matinee, but not full price.

Guess who just called?

How surprising is that? (very)

It's a good surprise; I have wanted to reconnect with her, but havent made sufficient (any) effort toward that end.

The conversation was short; I briefed her on my job, Wende's job, our wedding date, phone numbers of the gang (Maggie and Molly). She's working in a safe environment now (no longer out doing counseling for abuse victims, sometimes being abused or shot at in the process), I'm super glad about that.

We exchanged phone numbers and soon will reconnect more.

KTRU mandatory DJ meeting today, where I sat by Chad, who works at Wende's work. His shift is on during the day; maybe they'll listen to him at work.

Said HI to Donna, my partner, with whom I tag-team our Saturday night 7-10pm shift. But I might not be able to make the first two shifts; Jonathan might take the first one for me. It will hopefully be the celebration of my 11500th day!!

Said HI to Abi, and suggested the possibility of playing Silent Football on one of the Thursday night games nights at their house. :-)!!
