OKC Rally

I'm at OKC Rally now, my favorite rally of the year besides houston.

Got to listen to Luren Olsen's story on the way up here; really beautiful details she was offering of her recent triumphs and non-triumphs.

Rode up here with David Johnston and Lauren in David's car. This was arranged the day before. I told Katy to "tell all my peeps hi and that I love them so much."

Such a blessing to receive so many hugs and stories upon arrival to the rally. I love you guys so so much and am so blesed y all of you.

In the adisor meeting, I was all, "I just try to act like an Eemplary Youth. I'm right there with them playing talking, learning their names, listeningg to their stories. Each one out there is so incredile and has so much to offer."

I brought a new frisbe for Sean. Haven't given it to him yet.

Bryn boldly led opening circle. Awesome to reflect back on the years.

My touch group was led by Noah; he read the Dr Seuss book about Mulberry street. While we, er I mean people were throwing Skittles everywhere and wrestling.

I told them the story of Jason Fricke being spoken to by the Easter Buny "whatzzap eeeachh?" after Richard told us that he works as Maggie Moo in pink dress cow suitt.

"I got a job as a cow," he said. Funny.

Booty dancing with Scotty, Daniel, Edward, Bryn, Matt, Sean, Jo, Tanner, Hillary, Edward, Ricahard, others, others. We chose not to get Steve's keys and retrieve MC Spell from the San Antonio van. We'll do it tonight for the acttually scheduled Booty Dance, which is in the YRUU room while the contra dance will be in the main room. I cheered at hearing we'l ave this alternatifve.

OKC Rally talent

I'm lying down at talent show, and have just listened to Steve and Suzanne singing some song and now they are playing Rocky Raccoon.

Before this, David, Matt, Adam, and I did our techno song like we had done a the Social Action conference in Ohio. This time David did the spoken part 'break it down _ style' And he did the vocal singing part.

Bryn, David, Ashley are pantomiming the Rocky Raccoon song now. and David just shot Bryn and is dancing with Ashley. Good stuff.

Before this the worship was good and innovative.

Scott is the doctor drunken walkin into the room.

Bryn just fell back into rocky's room. Bryn is a funny funny girl.

I got to sit by Suzanne at worship. Aw no one caught the perfect picture opportunity of Bryn between Steve and Suzanne. I'll memorize it.

Lawren in beside me and Phat Pat on the other side.

Now Kris Scot is on stage now..

Aw shit. Sean is about to burp Blackbird. Just like old times. Aww yea.

Calder is scritching my head.

Oh, I think most of the youth don't know what's coming up.

Kris Scott just played the 3 songs 'Bryn' 'Creep' by radiohead and the 'Just like a Dream' one by The Cure. Excellent reminiscing.

Erin just pushed a chair across the stage. in a pantomime type way.

Bryn, Phat Pat and i just did the last 3 headed monster that we'll get to do at rallies for a long time. It was beautiful. Very funny at points I had tears in my eyes.

I forget what we said that was so funny, but .. it was funny.

Now Richard and Aden are performing a guitar thing. Very jazzy bluesey but more jazzy.

Sam told me a story about camping out in the woods and getting 10 inches of snow. I was all, "damn it must have been cold."

"No, I was in a mummybag, I could have baked a cake in there."

Hahahahahah!!!

Graham beckoned Amy from across the circle. She carefully brought her chair so it wouldn't be stolen. The moment she let go of her chair, I sat in it right behind her. I then snuck it back across the circle.

I'm surprised that she didn't notice. When she turned around and noticed, her expression was priceless (and funny).

She saw that I had stolen her chair and gave me the evil eye.

I cheerfully offered her my chair. "Would you like my chair?"

Aww you're so chivlarous, came the mocking reply from the circle.

"He's like a chivalrous, lying knight."

Kris Scott is here. Fun. I'm guessing he'll play Silent Football with us.

I got to ride around in Rosemary's shopping cart car. I made engine noises as she pushed me around. Then I drove her around for a bit.

That was during the ultimate frisbee game that pretty much had far too many players on the field for the size of the field. Three injuries that I know of. Erin got a fast thrown disc bouncing off her stomach. Bruise and stingy red spot on her skin. Fred sliced his thumb on a sign near the parking lot. But the game ended when Cole bloodied his chin running into a tree.

Social action was cleanup trash around the local blocks. I learned a new joke - about the woman who had a recurring dream.

I told 3 jokes: parrot joke, 5 little pigs joke, guy with black hat white gloves red cape who killed my mom, my dad, seven brothers and seven sisters.

I got to be interviewed for Erin's video 'UU teens in a UU world.' Awesome. Beautifully synchronous that I have been interviewed on camera so soon after feeling like I was interviewed though it wasn't being recorded.

Ashley has her little brother Sam with her. He's four years old.

Erin just relayed 17 stitches in her chin story, and a near death experience.

Kris Scott showed up, so the rally wasn't a total loss. He distracted me from playing ultimate for awhile, we reminisced, and then he typed this into my journal.

chair Dancing

Bryn, Thomas, and I just did a curling ballet thing with Jackie in a rolling swivel chair as Jackie balletfully spun and twirled in a most elaborate and graceful manner.

But what especially made the scene was Doug performing on the piano. Such an excellent video that would make.

Jackie called it Chair Dancing. She says:

Wow. Rob and Bryn and Thomas are all Chair Dancing fools. Rob is the best at spinning from the legs, which makes for an exellent spin. Bryn does really good tight spins. And Thomas, well. Uh. He can really shoot a person across the room. Go Thomas. It should be a sport. With judges and such. A Good Chair Dance would be judged upon spin, distance, speed, and creativity of the dance. Our team would totally get 10's across the board. Except from the judge from France.
