At Northwoods last week Drew Barrymore had come to visit and that she might come this week as well! I wondered if it would be worth it to drive the hour to church to possibly see her (she's my girlfriend, but I just haven't told her yet), but it was predicted that she wouldn't likely be there.

I ended up not going.

Airport

8:29am CST Friday 1 November 2002

Took Janette and Charity to the airport today. Lots of turns and stopsigns to get there a sneaky way, but I don't think it was shorter than just driving down Mockingbird. I was able to get back in 15 minutes, while I think it took 20 minutes to get there.. Anyway, who cares.. they got to the airport on time.

Bird contest

Rockfacejack had a contest today on LJ. I solved it by entering all the names of the birds in google, and clicking [I'm Feeling Lucky] to get this page.

I knew from yesterday that he had been talking about certain states. And the birds linked them all.

Work

Holy shit I'm just now getting off work. I didn't get here until 10:30am, but Vince et. al. got here at 8:30 for 15 hours (30 mins lunch).

Highlight: Joe got his head crunched by a 4 x 4 foot deck of 2 inch steel border and 3/4 inch plywood surface. Fortunately, it only fell one foot before it hit his head (he was on a ladder), and only the wooden part hit him, not the metal.

We barely barely barely got all the shit in the truck.

Side note: the truck was supposed to leave at noon, and cost Johnny $75 per hour that it didn't leave by noon. $75 * 12 = $900. Wow.

After work I took Vince home. Johnny gave me a tip ($20) for doing so, as it saved him time off his trek home.
