Entries this day: Dream Kims_site Santa_Monica zzz Dream 7:43am PST Tuesday 10 December 2002 (dream) On a road trip, I went back to Bloomington, staying in a garage apartment at the same address as Maggie and Molly's house. I felt all sad like, "what am I doing here?" and was crying when I came from the store where Barb was working, but when I opened the door, some other traveler was in the room as well. "When did you get here?" "Not so long ago." She had a guitar on the floor beside her. "I felt like I don't know what the hell I'm doing here, that's why I was crying." "Me too." "Girl, give me a hug." And we hugged, knowing the angst and trauma the other may be experiencing. So great to find a fellow traveler. permalinkKims site 9:07am PST Tuesday 10 December 2002 Much better this morning. It was frustrating yesterday because I couldn't see the actual error message to help direct my debugging search. Had to use a bunch of print() statements and an exit() to debug the thing. This morning I got past the bulk of the errors, basically they were all file paths not being correct. FTPd to his server, if I go pwd, I get /web/whatever/. But actually the path is like /users/site120/cks/web/whatever/. Silly FTP configuration. I used a perl script to figure out what the path was. #!/usr/bin/perl print "Content-type: text/html\n\n"; print "<html> <head>\n"; print "<title>CGI Environment</title>\n"; print "</head>\n"; print "<body>\n"; print "<h1>CGI Environment</h1>\n"; foreach $env_var (keys %ENV) { print "<B>$env_var</B> = $ENV{$env_var}<BR>\n"; } print "</body> </html>\n";permalink Santa Monica 10:16pm PST Tuesday 10 December 2002 Sally and I went to Santa Monica to skate today. Utterly beautiful and incredible. Cool things Wait, uncool thing first: Watched a guy catch a stingray and not let it go. (That was out on the pier.) Cool things:
zzz 2:27am PST Wednesday 11 December 2002 Got back from Santa Monica at 8pm, and Rick came over for grilled burgers (Morning Star veggie burgers for me) and chillin' Sally and I watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I hadn't previously seen it. My favorite scene is when the princess reveals herself to be Invincible Sword Princess or something. Nice. permalinkprev day next day |
