Entries this day: Airport Day_off Gravity No_war car_josephine chicago_movie ihop joel_hugs zzzz Airport 7:59am CST Monday 27 January 2003 Just got back from taking Janette and Charity to the airport. Bumped Eminem Show on the way back. I'm going to work today, but I haven't read LJs in a long time. I also should eat before I go. permalinkDay off 9:27am CST Monday 27 January 2003 I rolled in to the Wolf Shop around 9am I thought, but it seems like I've been there chillin' more than 30 minutes. Whatever. Johnny wasn't there at first. He called Ann saying that aliens had abducted him and he thought today was still Sunday. haha. Ann was all, "that means he's rolling around in bed with a woman." I probably shouldn't implicate Ann like that, but oh well. Anyway, Johnny rolled in and after some chatting with Ann, ultimately determined that he didn't have work for me yet this week, but should later in the week. Cool. I have plenty of LJs to read still. I got through about 30 entries and am still 70 or so behind on my friends list. 10:48am Been reading LJs. I'm 50 behind now. Not including all the comments I intend to read once I'm done going through the original entries. Oh, I'm reading the originals offline (I've just loaded five windows worth of entries and have been reading them). When I see some comments I want to read, I copy that link to my bookmarks so I can just go through all my bookmarks when I get online. permalinkGravity 11:00am CST Monday 27 January 2003 Doing pirouettes in the kitchen, I knocked a yardstick (that says STITCH & BITCH on it, not like grafitti, but like that's what was originally printed on the yardstick, in a creative font and everything; weird) onto the floor. Jack goes, "hey now, take it easy there," as Jack is prone to do when things are subjected to sudden bouts of entropy. "That gravity..." I said, not having much more to say than that until I remembered something interesting. "You know something interesting?" "What's that?" "Scientists don't really know what gravity is." [thoughtful pause] "I'm okay with that." [thoughtful pause] "They don't even know how fast gravity waves travel." "Well, you know, they're fast enough." Jack is hilarious. Jack the Philosopher. permalinkNo war 2:13pm CST Monday 27 January 2003 From: Rob Nugen - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - From: Autoresponder@WhiteHouse.GOV Date: Mon Jan 27, 2003 02:09:15 PM US/Central To: rob@robnugen.com Subject: Re: no war Thank you for emailing President Bush. She did much better at not killing the car and not scratching the tires when accelerating. Super awesome progress. She got bored of driving on a figure 6 parking lot. "Sixy Mc Six Six" "I'm to Sixxy for your car." "Hey, why don't you just go, phoney. I was referring to him being on the phone." Oh, so she got bored driving in circles so I drove in search of another good place to drive. I think we found a good neighborhood though it has steep hills (but very limited traffic) (where her dad Rick used to live from 4th to 9th grade or something). We were both tired though and came home. Watched a bit of Simpsons and now we're with Amanda to watch Chicago at the theater. permalinkchicago movie 7:17pm CST Monday 27 January 2003 Mmmm Nre Fte Nsttymotr mobir vsllrf Fuplrc. zl shit, fingers on the wrong keys. Mmmmm New Drew Barrymore movie called Duplex. It looks stupid, but she's in it. And Ben Stiller. View From the Top looks bad too. Chicago starting now. Wow sexy start except for the smoking. Interesting how there were supposed to be two sisters in the opening act, but the dancers didn't get messed up. Grr guys are so gross. No cuddling after sex. Bluh. Bye Fred. You bad cat. "He's a disloyal husband!" I shot him and I'd shoot him again. Once was enough. You know some guys just can't hold their arsenic. He ran into my knife. He ran into my knife ten times. I guess you could say we had artistic differences. He saw himself as alive and I saw him dead. I don't want to toot my own horn, but if Jesus Christ lived in Chicago and he had five thousand dollars, things would be a lot different today. And now ladies and gentlemen, an act of desperation. At first I thought it was too much with the guns, but then shooting out the lights was a good finish. Cute movie. Poor Amos. or was is name Andy? Kristen, Kathryn, Catherine should see this movie. haha there's a title called Follow Spots. I guess their role was to chase my cat around. dammmn the neverending song Richard Gere's singing and dancing provided by Richard Gere Renee Zellweger's singing and dancing provided by Renee Zellweger Catherine Zeta-Jones singing and dancing provided by Catherine Zeta-Jones Thanks to Josephine (and Colleen) for recommending the movie. permalinkihop 10:44pm CST Monday 27 January 2003 Kate, Josephine, me, Heather, Jack are all at IHOP now. Heather declared hungriness when she arrived; Jack and Kate had eaten. I had snacked. I don't know about Josephine. Joel called Kate's cellphone. Joel said he would eat Jack's boogers if Jack let Joel come over tonight. Jack: "Jack will take care of his little Joel. End of story." 11:56pm We're home now. Kate is on the phone with Matt (I think); Josephine is asleep (I think); Heather and Jack are discussing a paper she needs to finish by tomorrow (I think). Joel has just arrived (I am certain). permalinkjoel hugs 12:04am CST Tuesday 28 January 2003 Joel just came into the kitchen where I'm chillin' and leaned over kinda behind/beside me to give me a hug. "We should always give awkward hugs, with heads in armpits; that kind of thing." Joel just told us about the time that Gram pulled out his shoelace to prove that a knot can (not) be tied with a loop or something. The story spontaneously expanded to Gram removing everyone's shoelaces, "and when we woke up, he was laying in a hammock...." So awesome-tootin'ly funny! Here's a spontaneously shrunken story: Joel was counting panties today at work. "Kick-ass awesome!" permalinkzzzz 12:49am CST Tuesday 28 January 2003 Jack is helping Heather write her paper. The rest of the kittens (Joel, Josephine, Kate) are in Jo's room. I'm going to bed. permalinkprev day next day |
