Okay, if you know me and (Janette or Josephine or Jack), you are invited to a party at the Bibby's house Friday night March 14 - Sunday afternoon March 16 (and beyond if it's your Spring Break)

Bring some kind of food (uncooked pasta or fruit) or a present for Colleen Crotty or Ashley Powell (the unbiological twins, assuming they will be here). March 26 is their birthdays, and that's the day I'm leaving for Japan, so it's a combined party for all of us but still time for me to get ready and freak out before I leave.

I've got work today at the Wolf Shop! Schlepping stuff from the shop and warehouse to the Irish Festival. We'll all be Schleprechauns!

Didn't shlepp anything at work. Cleaned up sawdust, helped Hector move some masonite around, hammered grommets into some fabric to hang, went to a 6 day old Mexican cafe called Cafe El Toro I think, ate five burritos for a dollar each, got a free slice of flan, and free sample of their fajita meat, and talked to the owner guy who does not yet have a license to cook food there, so he cooks at another restaurant and carts it over here. I spoke some Spanish with him. Fun. Back at work I watched in amazement as Sergey created gray backpaint by pouring every leftover color into one big bucket. (No matter what colors he poured in, it stayed gray. Magic.) Back-painted some stairs with Lisa, taped up a box, drove Lisa to her house, came home.

Today was Lisa's first day at the shop. She seemed a bit unsure of herself which I can understand.

Alright stop
shut down the city
ice is back

Yeah kinda lame, but this commemerates the Great Ice Storm of 2003 over Dallas. Though just now it seems to be letting up. There's sleet about 3 inches thick over everything.

I drove Scott off the street into the driveway in case people start playing demolition derby tomorrow morning instead of staying in bed.

It was impossible to see through the windshield covered in ice, plus my contacts were out so I couldn't see anyway. But I drove with the car door opened and got Scott parked behind Janette's van well and easily enough that one might not have guessed I couldn't see clearly.
