Entries this day: Class Hitomi Yuki the_Savage_Beating_of_Christ Class 6:16pm JST Friday 7 May 2004 Today, class was pretty good; I whipped out a few sentences before class and those, plus what I had previously written in my diary held most of the time in the lesson. Somehow I have a goal of not learning anymore grammar, but just talking about what I've learned so far. New grammar can come later. permalinkHitomi 6:17pm JST Friday 7 May 2004 Wow. I was really surprised and really thrilled to receive a phone call from Hitomi! She has arrived safely in Seattle, and was spending the night alone in a hotel room because her friend has to work tomorrow or something that I didn't quite understand. She's jet-lagged (and therefore awake at 2am Seattle time) and said she called since she had no one else to talk to at the hotel alone. What a great surprise. :-) permalinkYuki 11:21pm JST Friday 7 May 2004 On the way to meet ͵»Ò, I saw ¤æ¤ just as she got on the up escalator. I was like, "HI" and motioned for her to come chat. She looked different; casual clothes instead of work clothes plus wire frame glasses. We asked what we were doing in Kawasaki (shopping and watching a movie), and I said I would email her, which, this time, I did. permalinkthe Savage Beating of Christ 11:07pm JST Friday 7 May 2004 Oh my god what a disgusting way to spend 2400 yen. (*) The Passion of Christ in no way describes the passion of Jesus. It was two hours of relentless savagery; even now I feel woozy thinking about it, and the movie ended 2 hours ago. They beat the fucking hell out of this cat to the point where, even though I wasn't watching, with my head turned from the horror, I was passing out from the abject violence. Don't go see it. Yes; he suffered. No point in making me suffer through this movie. (*) Premier showing price with a free popcorn and reclining seats. permalinkprev day next day |
