Entries this day: Finished_application Mutsumi_card Work audrey Finished application 2:31pm Friday 30 July 2004 (written on Hitomi's computer with her weird Japanese keyboard) Done diddly did it! I've finished my application for Pb's 47th global voyage, and am now waiting for their invitation to an interview. I've not officially been given the position, but I have a good feeling about it. Super duper special thanks to Hitomi for letting me use her computer. Otherwise, I would have had a lot more difficulty getting the application done. If I don't get on Pb, I'll work for Jen's uncle and make some mad cash. If I don't get *that* job either, I'll revisit my idea of riding my bike to Osaka. I need to update my WTF page to add the 47th global voyage itenerary. I am not able to update my site from work, though; no non-http protocols are allowed from our computers. permalinkMutsumi card 3:19pm Friday 30 July 2004 (written on Hitomi's computer with her weird Japanese keyboard) I wrote a card to Mutsumi after she evaluated my lesson before her adventure in India. Mutsumi! 30 July 2004 I had great fun in our lesson! Don't get lost in India! I always enjoy teaching your lessons and I want to address some of the questions you asked me about offered and gave. Next time remind me and we'll clear it up. See you! - Rob!permalink Work 8:14pm Friday 30 July 2004 (written on Hitomi's computer with her weird Japanese keyboard) Second no-show student in a row. I've never had either student, but one had chosen my lesson before. They both chose my lesson today. I wonder why they chose my lesson and chose not to show up. Tetsuya asked me to wash the cups in the teachers' room sink, so I did and then in an act of defiance, I washed the cups in the staff sink as well. He rushed in there when I started washing. "No, I meant in the other room." "Finished." "Oh. You don't have to do these, but,.. thank you." "No problem." After I finished, I gave a thumbs up to him on my way out. - - - - First lesson was a double booking more-than-1/2-Japanese spoken slushy mess. I'm glad she seems to get something out of my lessons, but I have stopped getting anything out of them (including 5-5s), except the base 1400 yen. Second (third) lesson was good, with good homework. then lunch, and then Makiko, one of my favorite all-star students. She is super bright and smiley and just so ... huggalicious. She does great homework, which nearly inspires me to do homework right now. I was really happy because she said she tried to choose my lesson more times, but I was all booked up. I would choose lessons with her over many other things. Since that time, two no shows. Next = second lunch and then two more lessons and then byebye. - - - - Tomorrow's work schedule included 1 lesson after 5:30, so I closed it in order to make free time for hanging out with Hitomi and hopefully getting my computer from the shop. They haven't called me, but I hope it will be ready by tomorrow. permalinkaudrey 11:37pm Friday 30 July 2004 (written on Hitomi's computer with her weird Japanese keyboard) Didn't hear back from Audrey today; I sent her my lessons to both email addresses that she gave me, and I hoped for a quick response to know that she got them, but I didn't get it. Hmm. I may call them tomorrow. permalink |
