Entries this day: Work lesson two_earthquakes Work 6:29pm JST Sunday 5 September 2004 Work was tiring today. I tried using steps each time - 7 flights each way and it wore on me after about 15 reps. But fun overall. Checked my email a lot and chatted plenty with Jen and OM. Next week I'm going to try and secure internet access for my computer. I'm in St Mark's Cafe now, waiting for my lesson with Akiko at 7pm. permalinklesson 8:52pm JST Sunday 5 September 2004 Lesson with Akiko was cool, but we had trouble communicating in the loud cafe. Loud with 5 high school students yammering at table. There was a cool earthquake during the lesson. Lasted about 15 seconds at least. She felt it before I did, which surprised me. Difficult to explain the pronunciation differences between label and level because of the noise level. But we were talking about political labels. permalinktwo earthquakes 2:05am JST Monday 6 September 2004 We had two significant earthquakes today. One around 7:30 local Tokyo time and the other closer to midnight. We've had lots of earthquakes in the past month. Like 5 in a month. That's way higher frequency than the past 18 months I've been here. I'd love it if Fuji decided to blow his top. It would just be like wow. permalinkprev day next day |
