Got to chat with Jen last night and this morning. She was feeling sad and I appreciated being able to listen. I'm super thankful for the time that I've spent in my men's group; it has incalculably helped me learn to listen and see through a lot of the issues that we all have.

She stayed out at karaoke til 4am; she's sleeping on the local train while I jumped over to the (limited) express.

Today before work Jen and I confirmed that we can chill on the local train to Yokohama and still make it in time (instead of changing to the express train at Kikuna).

We found out the first name of the cute genki girl across the street: Mikiko. I was a bit shy to talk to her when I went to get my lunch, but I said, "すごい元気。" [super genki]

Jen and I have decided we want to be friends with her and invite her out to drinks in Tsunashima or Yokohama or Motosumiyoshi. Next time Jen and I go in together, I'll ask Mikiko where she lives and tell her where we live.

Had my last lesson with Masashi tonight. Well, the last scheduled lesson before he goes to New Jersey for 6 months and then Chicago for 18 months.

We walked to Tsutaya after that because I wanted to show him the movie Suicide Circle. We had talked about scary movies during our lesson.

I'm tired.

Non-optimal situation with Hitomi. She won't tell me how she's feeling. I want to use janette's quilt as the top quilt. She wants to use the thick quilt as the top quilt, but I was using it as the bottom quilt because the cover for the futon mattress was not on the futon mattress and I didn't want to use the futon without the mattress nor the mattress without its cover. The cover is not trivial to put on, but Hitomi insisted on putting it on herself, matyring herself so I could type journal entries.

Non optimal.

Fought with Hitomi last night, and she asked later, "why didn't you just tell me that in the first place?"

I didn't have an answer at first, but then I remembered. She had been asking me for the answer in speedy Japanese and I didn't understand her question.
