Akiko is not a dentist

Akiko isn't a dentist, but she did all the dentally stuff that my dentist in the US did on my mouthguard. She's been a dental assistant(?) for 8 years. She's my new girlfriend; I totally fell into those big eyes while she was working over me. And she has braces. Mmmmm. I'd love to scope a movie with her.

Now I have a practically new mouthguard and a definitely new mouthguard case. And she gave me 2000 yen off an 8000 yen procedure. 'cept I didn't get X-rays... wait-a-minute... maybe I didn't get a discount at all. Oh well; I got to fall in love.

D'oh camera

D'oh! My camera got wet (soaked?) last night, and it's not working optimally (basically not at all) today. I determined this when I tried to take pics of the quite swollen Tamagawa River. (That's actually like saying Tama-river River, cause in this case gawa (usually kawa) means river. But that's okay, cause I'm going to the ATM Machine in a minute to withdraw some cash money.

I wonder what I will do today. I have no plans. I haven't studied Chinese in a while, nor Japanese very much this week. It rained all day yesterday so I chose not to ride my bike. Tomorrow I'll get to ride, and tomorrow is my Japanese lesson; I think I'll be doing Japanese homework today.

I won't fart around with my website too much; Ikumi is going to help me brainstorm a user interface on Sunday night. I was thinking about it a bit yesterday... very simple:

ThePIN will be my book, TR is Thunder Rabbit stories, Synchronicities is my movie, Ramblings will be rants and theories and crap like that. Other will be chatbot chats and guest writers (basically people who include me on their mass email lists (Ginnie, Carla, and barely Dan (who wrote two such emails)))

Pics will be pictures arrangeable by subject or by date

[flag] will be a Japanese flag or a US flag, depending on the language that is not being primarily displayed at the time, the idea being that I'll have more than just a piddly amount of crap in Japanese and Chinese.

Wait.. I would need more than one flag.

Synchronistically, Jen was on the same train that I rode from Okurayama to Motosumiyoshi after scoping the high water levels in Tamagawa and Tsurumigawa.

She told me she had bad news; her friend Marty back home killed himself. Horrible, right? Let's compound it: 1) Marty had a four year old son. 2) Marty's older brother did the same thing 7 years ago.

Yowza. And Jen is feeling bad like she should go home, but I'm telling her that she won't be able to help; she should only go back if she needs to for herself. By being here, she is living an inspiring life for others.
