Entries this day: Earthquake Progress Shoko Work early_am_earthquake Earthquake ~11:34am JST Monday 8 November 2004 Nigata got banged by another earthquake today. I felt it, but it didn't last too long. Still, it was 5.9 in Nigata. Those cats are gettin' shook up. permalinkProgress 1:16pm JST Monday 8 November 2004 I don't think I even mentioned that I broke up with Hitomi (again) last night. It was really hard; 51 minute phone call, including Richard translating for me. He didn't tell me much that I didn't already know; a few details, but nothing major. - - - - But the progress I'm talking about is with my website. I'm close close close to having slices of my journal available. It's nice to much more carefully understand the code (Fred wrote the intial, and now all the regex stuff has been gutted.) and I'm excited about the progress. But now I'm ripping myself away to go buy food to cook for work today. Working hard to keep the bigger picture in mind. permalinkShoko 2:32pm JST Monday 8 November 2004
Work 2:35pm JST Monday 8 November 2004 Not going to ride TJ Bike to work. It will be 57 degrees with 20% chance of rain on the way home. 8:45pm Hiromi no-showed again today. That's seven in a row for her. I doubt I'll see her again. - - - - I went to my semi-local wireless hotspot near work during an empty lesson and worked a bit on my site. Had a problem with getting the days to print correctly, and once I decided the printing code was correct: print HTML_OUTPUT join ", ", (sort keys %{ $list_of_days_per_year_month{"$year/$month"} }); I went to where the keys were being populated, and found the error there after a little bit of debug via printing research. I had $dd = $_ =~ m!_?(\d\d)!; instead of ($dd) = $_ =~ m!_?(\d\d)!; So $dd was getting the value 1 (true) instead of the actual digits I wanted. permalinkearly am earthquake 1:50am JST Tuesday 9 November 2004 Just had a really quick earthquake. It was barely noticable, yet, somehow different. Like high amplitude, but short duration. But the shake was not all that much. Like it was a "fast" earthquake. permalinkprev day next day |
