Entries this day: Snow! change_of_plans_for_tomorrow gateway_data1 gateway_data2 Snow! 4:58pm JST Wednesday 29 December 2004 It snowed today in Tokyo! I flopped around in bed for a long time not wanting to get up cause it was so cold, but finally nature called me and was like, "hey man, get up," and I was like, "I wanna shave my head first," so I shaved my head over the sink and I kept seeing things falling outside, but I didn't have my glasses on so I didn't notice it was *snow*! Shaved, peed, ran outside a bit, but not for long; the snow was cold! Super big clumps of tiny flakes, but Jackie said they had been even bigger earlier in the day. I took my three new shirts to the cleaners to get the creases out and have done a couple loads of laundry today, plus made and ate some Roboyaki. Mostly just kickin' it inside due to the snow. permalinkchange of plans for tomorrow 5:53pm JST Wednesday 29 December 2004 Louise just called me and said she had to disallow me from bringing a friend to the party at Louise's house tomorrow. At first I was like, "grr" at Louise, but no matter; I understand the position she's in (it's not her party, per se, it's just at her house). I misunderstood the type of party it was when I got the invitation. I told her that I therefore would not make it a priority to go to the party. Anyway, I haven't heard from Satoko about whether she still wants to meet me (go to the party).. it would be ironic if she showed up tomorrow (she has directions) but had to be uninvited. Ah well. - - - - I talked to Satoko; we are going to meet at Kosugi and then rent a movie and watch it in my room. This is a big chance for me to just be friends friends friends. permalinkgateway data1 7:26pm JST Wednesday 29 December 2004 CD/track Wave I / Discovery 5: Exploration, Sleep body position flat on back with legs bent CD player Panasonic SL-CT510 headphones Audio-Technica ATH-T3 ambient temperature 20 C clothing socks, blue slacks, black knit turtleneck, knit cap Hitomi made working nostril(s) right emotional state calm, tired, but I've slept a lot today physical tight back muscles head fine stomach fine pain/soreness left middle finger phone/door off/locked time allowed all night ambient light almost none ambient noise almost none date/time 7:32pm JST Wednesday 29 December 2004 location Millenium House, room 20 8:44pm I stayed for both tracks on the CD. My heater turned off just as I was at the Focus 10 point on the first track. I could smell the gas fragrance that happens when it turns on or off. I am certain this was 'real' because the heater had been on for a while, I heard it beeping its warning that it would turn off soon, and it was off when I finished. There were times during the first CD that I was feeling vibrationally, or slight downward motion. Most times I was just relaxed, or at most, lucid dreaming. At one point I was definitely like "woah this is it" (sans exclamation point), but even that was too excited and stopped the experience. Once I heard my nose snore which woke my mind up though my mind hadn't been too far gone at that moment. A couple of times I was nearly in lucid dreams, but not of flying calibre. Just like I was seeing dream images but knowing I was dreaming. During the second track, I mostly fell asleep completely permalinkgateway data2 12:34am JST Thursday 30 December 2004 I'm going to jump to the next wave of CDs. Interesting. Given Monroe's speech and reading "don't have preconceived ideas about what this will be like," I think I noticed different things that I would possibly have ignored. When we moved from Focus 10 to Focus 12, my brain felt like it was bending, like the left hemisphere was stretching out of my head. Also, my hands and forearms felt really lovely warm. These feelings did not completey go away as we went back to Focus 10. I fell alseep near the end of the track. permalink |
