Entries this day: AM_daily_rune Bike Eternal_Sunshine_of_the_Spotless_Mind Jesse bourne_supremacy AM daily rune 12:13pm JST Sunday 02 January 2005 I woke up and basically reached for a rune first thing. None were sticking to my fingers as I asked, "what is the rune for today?" so I changed my question to "what do I need to read today?" and I pulled out the Blank Rune, which is interesting. I read nothing, cause I had already read this. permalinkBike 4:28pm JST Sunday 02 January 2005 Rode TJ Bike today! We haven't gone out in months, I believe. It's been too cold for me to want to ride at night (which I'd have to do if we rode to work), so I just haven't wanted to go out at all. But today is bright and sunny, so we were like ¤è¤· and went out. I'm not sure where I went exactly, but I found a small river and followed it to a big river. I heard and could barely see a model plane being flown on the other side of the big river. It was doing all sorts of vertical climbs and then tumbling drops. I didn't know what river it was, but I guessed I could follow it downstream to something I'd recognize. Turns out it was Tamagawa, and is the big river I cross on the way to Gaba. I got a text message from Jesse, so I showed up at his house; he said they were just watching TV. Now I'm at Jesse's; we're watching TV. Jesse just informed me that our ex-co-worker Paul Wallace could likely have been in Bali when the waves came. Yikes. permalinkEternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 6:38pm JST Sunday 02 January 2005 We are in the middle of watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind at Jesse and Takako's. Taking a break right now; Jesse was hungry. Now watching a Japanese archery program, where it's like archery as yoga, meditatively drawing the bow and (*) minding the details of every motion. Wow. (*) the power went out as they were using the microwave, TV, and electric heater. Yay for computer battery. Don't miss Cinerina's far superior review of this movie! 2:31am JST Monday 03 January 2005 MMmmmmm. Even better upon second viewing. Everything lines up nicely. I only noticed a couple breaks in continuity, but they were only during his memories; they could have been intentional. permalinkJesse 2:37am JST Monday 03 January 2005 Tomorrow I will go back to Jesse and Takako's and maybe just maybe we will make funny movies! permalinkbourne supremacy 2:31am JST Monday 03 January 2005 Came home and took the hinges off Noriko's door to get it open for her. Credit cards in the lock didn't work. Then we watched _Bourne Supremacy_ on the VHS tape that Jesse had. Someone copied a DVD to the tape. "Do you object to piracy?" he asked. "No." "I mean, yeah, why?" Good movie. I was really upset to see his girl from the first movie die. Noriko agreed that he was really smart. I think my favorite scene was of the other agent turning around and pointing the gun back at him, especially the line, "yeah I thought it was a little light." I'm glad he didn't kill Nicky, who I realize looks *a lot* like beautiful Sally in Cali. I was surprised when I found out whodunnit! permalinkprev day next day |
