Entries this day: Dream Fibonacci Gateway_data Hiro Miki Movie_Kung_Fu_Hustle Sampo_with_Miki brrrrr! zz_zz_zz_zz Dream 9:37am JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 Walking through a parking lot, looking for Mr Van. My dad was there, but he was spooked by a security guard for some reason. I saw Mr Van and was waking over toward him, and my dad saw a different van that was painted like Mr Van but was a different make/model. - - - - I was on the beach at the tsunami-wrecked area, and there was a boat on a trailer still connected to its pickup truck, and the boat was all smashed and tie-cables were twisted. I needed to go between the boat and the truck, and I got stuck somehow and struggled to get free which caused the truck to start rolling toward the ocean. I gasped slightly as I woke up. permalinkFibonacci 10:39am JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 The Da Vinci Code rules. I'm on chapter 19 now, just finishing chapter 18 as my alarm to get going went off. Nice. permalinkGateway data 10:42am JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 CD/track Wave III / Freedom 3: Vectors body position flat on back with legs bent CD player Panasonic SL-CT510 headphones Audio-Technica ATH-T3 ambient temperature 19 C clothing socks, red flannel pants, Think-shirt, Hitomi-cap working nostril(s) both, sorta emotional state calm, wide awake physical slightly cold hands head tiny headache stomach fine pain/soreness headache phone/door off/locked time allowed 30-ish minutes ambient light daylight through curtains ambient noise construction noise outside my window date/time 10:43am JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 location Millenium House, room 20 There was a new experience, like a release then a recapture of my awareness. Was it the same as bouncing between awake and dreaming, riding that bicycle on the line between yin and yang? I felt no vibrational feelings, but the releases and recaptures caught my attention. As for the exercise, I was basically having dream images, including being at janette's, and being with YRUU peeps, as he suggested we perceive in different directions. I was a bit drawn into my analytical teacher brain as I found a couple of errors in splicing of his voice. In 1996 I learned that some tapes were spliced together from previous recordings. These small errors disrupted my thinking / relaxing. permalinkHiro 12:26pm JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 Hiro means noon in Japanese. I'm headed to Kawasaki to meet Miki for lunch and movie. Before I decided what to wear, I made a test excursion on Mimibike to the cleaners to pick up three shirts that I had dropped off with their new-shirt creases in them. I sure as heck don't want to iron them. I got the shirts back, and they were folded as new shirts are folded. What a cruel practical joke. Anyway, that's not why I'm writing. I chose to wear just a hoodie cause the weather is decent, but until I parked my bike in the 150 yen bike parking lot, I didnt' realize I should ride TJ bike to Kawasaki!!! Argh! But, I'll get to read my book on the train. permalinkMiki 2:45pm JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 At the theater with Miki now. We're going to see a Japanese movie with good CGI effects. Before this we chowed McDonald's due to me having had some coupons given to me outside Kawasaki station. I left the coupons outside McDonald's on their little menu rack thing so someone can benefit from conveniently placed coupons. We went to a little souvenir shop and I saw some fish-shaped chopstick holders, which is exactly what my mom was looking for her sister when she (mom) came to Japan in November 2003! Cool! So it's been a while, but I assume they'll still be a welcome gift. Jimmy just texted me and said he can get me 20,000 yen for a photo session of me in some business suit situation. Cool! I sent him a link to pictures of me in a suit and a cellphone photo of me now to see if my hair compares well enough to those pictures. Next week we'll probably hook it up. permalinkMovie Kung Fu Hustle 9:19pm JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 This is a non Japanese asian movie that had been dubbed over with Japanese voice actors. The action included a ton of CGI stuff, some of which was weak, though most was pretty good. I understood the vague overview of the plot; some good guys with various forms of fighting and some bad guys with axes were fighting and then a really bad-ass fighter fought a badder-ass fighter and at the end the bad-ass fighter cried. Plus a love story thrown in and a woman who could kung fu fight like a demon, but whose real power was to suck in a deep breath (burning through the entire length of one of her perpetually dangling cigarettes) and then screaming a banshee scream that killed the flying demons from hell, among other things. The movie has plenty of blood, plenty of funny parts, and might be a lot better for people who can understand the dialogue. permalinkSampo with Miki 11:10am JST Thursday 13 January 2005 During the movie, when the blood was spraying and people were being hacked with axes, I watched and offered my hand to help cover Miki's view as she turned away. (oops; too bloody of a movie. This was remniscent of our first movie together, Kill Bill. She left during the fight at House of Blue Leaves.) She stayed for all of this movie though; there were not nearly as many bodyparts scattered. There were many aspects/scenes of this movie that made me think it could become a cult classic. After the movie, Miki and I went to the game center to play 30 free tokens in the token-eating machines. I'm not sure what all the variables are, but I thought that by choosing a seat with five balls ready to fall instead of three or four, we would have a better chance of winning. Wrong. We didn't play as long as last week, but it was still fun. We walked to the discount shop and I scooped up some chocolate and KitKat and some more chocolate and cereal and orange juice. Miki didn't buy anything; she just cutely and patiently walked through the U-turn shaped store and waited with me in line. I think those are the things I love about Miki. She's cute and she's patient. I've noted this before; she is just happy with what she has. At least it seems that way, but I'm so not-that that I have trouble believing it could be true. Really? You're happy just living with your parents and not having a proper boyfriend nor drink, smoke, sex, drugs, rock-n-roll? (well I can understand most of those, but *all* of them?) Holy cow, congratulations on being happy with what you have. You should write a book and tell us how you do it. Then you'd be rich! (irony intended) We walked to DICE, the building that was built last year (wow; I have experienced some history in Kawasaki) and wandered around Tokyu Hands, looking at the magic trick section where I wondered if there was a sample of some of the tricks. Miki exclaimed, "of course not! If there were samples, then everybody would know the trick!" Not if it were real magic. - - - - I was a bit distracted with the time; I had told Hitomi I would meet her at 7pm at my house, but I definitely wasn't likely to make it. I texted her and said we should meet at 8 and she could stay overnight. The previous plan was meet at 7 and she would go home. I made sure to note in my mind that I wouldn't have the distraction feeling if I wasn't trying to see two women on the same day. - - - - Miki and I wandered down to the bookstore downstairs, where I got picture of a funny/sick book of rabbit suicides. The book is subtitled something like, "If you're a rabbit, and you want to commit suicide, then this book is for you." Down to the first floor with an electronics store (Yodabashi Camera, maybe) where I marveled at the cases to convert cameras into underwater cameras. I saw a USB external hard drive that turned out to be a USB wireless modem (cell phone quality). That made me realize I could use a USB external drive to backup my computer journal entries when I've got my computer out on adventures between internet cafes. 2500 yen for 32 megs. 22,000 (I think) for 1 gig. 32 megs would be way way way more than enough for just text, but I could store pictures on it, too. Hmmm; I couldn't decide between these two options (price vs storing photos as well) before it was time for Miki to go home. Walked her to her bicycle so that she wouldn't find out I was meeting Hitomi afterward. Not that I've made a committment to Miki, but maybe to keep her happy world happy. Or actually to keep my option of seeing her later. permalinkbrrrrr! 9:19pm JST Wednesday 12 January 2005 It's cold!! I nearly froze my assets waiting for Hitomi in Kawasaki station. It was about negative five million degrees with wind chill factor. I moved to the adjacent ticket sales office for warmth while waiting. permalinkzz zz zz zz 10:44am JST Thursday 13 January 2005 I told Hitomi she could crash out at my place last night, but when I was trying to sleep, she kept wiggling around like a wiggle worm every 2 minutes, waking me up each time. Oh man that was irritating. She was too hot, then too cold, etc etc I don't know what was underneath all of that, and if she knew, she wasn't saying. permalinkprev day next day |
