Entries this day: OM Satoko's_practice_jam zzzz OM 3:11pm JST Sunday 27 March 2005 Easy day at work today; the internet was down so we did a bit of troubleshooting (logged into our ADSL router/modem from this side and saw that it couldn't authenticate with the PPPoE server) and determined that since the ISPs customer service is closed on Sundays (weekends?) we couldn't do anything today. Rocked on back and here we is. Talked to Jen a lot on the way back; music and relationships and internal psychotherapy and where these wacky brain messages come from. "So who in your life have you not trusted?" "Are you projecting those messages on this situation?" "How has that protected you in the past?" All of these questions helped me get a grip on things. permalinkSatoko's practice jam 7:29pm JST Sunday 27 March 2005 Wow; we're here at Satoko and friends/bandmates/fellow-musicians practice jam session. I can't actually identify all the instruments, except that they're brass. trumpet, and trombone and then saxophone, and tenor sax (Satoko). Jen joined us and got about an hour of chat time with everyone before we arrived. She chose not to stay for the jam session because it wasn't helping to relieve her headache. I definitely understand. Sorry that she got all the way out here (30 minute walk from Kawasaki station) just to find she couldn't stay. I'm glad that she took care of herself, though. Sally says They're playing And That's That. I'm not sure who it's by. It's really hesetfunny to see these guys rehearsing in their socks in a makeshift dance studio. It's also interesting that they are practicing with a metronome, 8th grade band style. They are tight, for an amateur band. The saxes are REALLY together, attacks and releases are RIGHT ON. Laughter and music are international languages. So are metronomes. permalinkzzzz 2:42am JST Monday 28 March 2005 Chowed Kaitenzushi in Kawasaki and then went to Cinecitta and to a photo booth which was more fun than a barrel of monkeys with funny hats! Hitomi headed home on Keikyu line and Satoko got of Nambu line at Kashimada. We stopped by a grocery store on the way home from Kosugi and got stuff. I am just really happy to be close to Sally. It just feels so good with her. Arrived home and found Jen and Katrina arguing pro-life vs Andrew voting pro-death for the to-feed-or-not-to-feed woman all over US/world media. Sally says the courts shouldn't be brought into it; this is a family issue. Not a judicial or political one. I agree more with Andrew and Sally than Jen and Katrina. Let god and the woman choose together. permalinkprev day next day |
