Entries this day: Dream1 Dream2 Dream3 Questions_about_Peeb Today Dream1 8:14am JST Thursday 07 April 2005 In the middle of a wide valley so wide that one could forget mountains surrounded it, a man had built a two story building. The second floor was shaped like \/\/\/\/ it had troughs to guide water or something. Walking underneath the second floor revealed that the \/\/\/ was because each / and \ was a separate block of concrete. I asked him about this technique and he said he didn't have enough resources to pour the entire floor at once, so he poured these individual square blocks of concrete and bolted them all together to make the floor. I was really impressed with what a big cool thing he had done using persistence instead of ample money. permalinkDream2 8:19am JST Thursday 07 April 2005 Driving YRUUers in Scott, we parked near a building for no particular reason. Then I realized the building was the drug rehab house used by the popular kids from at least two previous YRUU generations. With me were Josephine, Face, Laura, Mikey, and some un-specific others. I had brought them here and told them what it was, but didn't tell them they had to go in. Josephine took the plunge and walked in. Laura followed, but asked me to hug her slash hold her hand when she went in. She was all crying and I hugged her for several minutes. Or it would have been for several minutes if another resident hadn't spoken up like, "HI; why are you crying? we all were scared when we first came. are you scared? What's your name?" etc, effectively breaking the space for a good cry. permalinkDream3 8:24am JST Thursday 07 April 2005 Walking along a road that overlooked the ocean, some houses were being constructed. The builder was like, "great view, eh? You can hear the surf a few hundred feet below. And Richard Gere lives just half a mile away," though he didn't specify in which direction one should walk to get there. permalinkQuestions about Peeb 8:52am JST Thursday 07 April 2005 These are questions I have about P-B (49th voyage)
Today 1:33pm JST Thursday 07 April 2005 Today I've been cleaning my computer's hard drive. Most of these were taken from the KQ Kawasaki Nova teacher's lounge window. I don't know the name of the building, but it is finished now. These pics, featuring Genkiman Dan, were part of 200 megs of pics given to me by Lubo back near the end of my days in Tsunashima. I've burned those pics to CD for Dan (along with a bunch of other stuff) and uploaded my favorites. Also today I've done some research on some of the ports we'll be visiting on P-B. Primarily Port Said (Sayed | Saied) in Egypt: permalink prev day next day |
