Entries this day: Hitomi Jenny_J_Cosmoworld zzz_ByeBye_party Hitomi 9:48am JST Saturday 09 April 2005 Today is the day Hitomi is flying to New York! This morning she wrote: 9時に成田空港に行かなければならなかった。
I can't read three of these kanji 成田空港 (the second is ta) but I can read the rest of the message. She said she was supposed to leave 成田空港 at 9am, but she woke up at 9am. I'm so sympathetic and sending her waves of good energy to get her to the airport safely and on time. 10:00am Damn. I looked it up: 成田空港 is Narita Airport. I find myself wishing I had supported her by calling around 7am. 11:13am I've spoken with her; she's going to fly out around 4pm. She seems in good spirits about the whole thing and I may get to meet her in Yokohama! Eeeks! 210,000 yen for her to buy a new ticket. - - - - Turns out she took some sinus medicine after a few drinks; that zonked her out so she didn't hear her alarm. Nightmare! permalinkJenny J Cosmoworld 5:26pm JST Saturday 09 April 2005
- - - - Satoko was in the area so she joined us near the end of our meal. Satoko wanted to ride Vanishing Coaster, so I joined her for that and Jen took a picture of us as we vanished behind the water. But we vanished before the picture could be taken. Ziip! Walked around a bit and I showed Jen a new game I invented. I call it "Escalator Slide" and basically slid down the escalator hand rails by extending my upper arms and tucking my legs, using my sleeves for friction reduction. I found it a bit tricky to go down straightly, and I hit my elbow pretty effectively. Yeouch! I'd enjoy bringing Hitomi to this game center cause there are fewer people who smoke, and funnier kiddie games. Jen left after we scoped the portrait artists who were not willing to paint a picture of Jen with Michael Jackson (even though there was a picture of Michael Jackson on the wall behind them) and Satoko and I stayed a bit longer and rode the Spinning Coaster, the ferris wheel, and the haunted house and Ice World (-29.5 C with stuffed/fake polar animals on ice). permalinkzzz ByeBye party 12:11am JST Sunday 10 April 2005 Home from my byebye party: Jesse, Satoko, Seth, Lenny and me. We chowed okonomiyaki and I chowed visions of the beautiful Russian waitress. Her face reminded me of Minnie Driver. Long wavy/curly locks pulled back gently into a banana clip horse mane of hair. Very nice. Jesse ate using his chopstick that hit the table, and we all enjoyed various flavors of okonomiyaki before heading out. Never went back by to see Roscoe and Zach during their drinking adventure, but I'm sure they'll be okay. permalinkprev day next day |
