Entries this day: Kellie Wutwut fizzinal_tizzest super_done Kellie 1:57pm JST Friday 06 May 2005 Been working on my rob_update_mailer.pl mostly since 10am. I also did a bit to write some copyright stuff for my journal and code. Incorporated that into source_viewer.pl and into allowSource.pl. Going to Kellie's house now (or really soon) to figure out how to ride TJ Bike there on Sunday, and to clean a space for him to relax during my PB adventure. 5:28pm Good deal; we've cleaned off the balcony (and by we, I mostly mean she) and I got to watch Meagan on Discovery Channel as she video travelogued all along the Gold Coast of OZ. Awesome. And she's really really cute! Interesting that Meagan is also the name of the really really cute girl who was(?) on Screensavers. We're watching Discovery Channel's thing on People -versus- Ocean, with all these references to how people are battling the ocean for their spot of land on the shore. I'm like, "look. The ocean is bigger than you. If the ocean wants your land, it will obtain." Seawalls (like in Galveston) stay intact, but the beach in front of the seawalls erode until there's no beach. This is bad news for beach bums and for sea turtles who are loyal to their birthplaces over years and years. Kellie made a lovely lunch for us: baked tuna sandwiches and lovely salad. permalinkWutwut Wutwut hello This is a test message from Tokyo, Japan! Actually Nakameguro, a city a bit southwest of Tokyo. We are eating ice cream and watching fish swim by. It's great!permalink fizzinal tizzest fizzinal tizzest The symlink works. The indexing works. The opt-out works. The last thing is to write the file to my ~/journal/yyyy/mm/ directory. I mucked up the filename before, but now I think it's right, BUT the directory is mode 700 or maybe even 600, and all the files are 600. I dunno if I can write to that directory. Let's see.permalink super done super done The opt-out works. The htmlify works. The line_wrap works. It writes to ~.../49/ It makes a symlink. It writes to ~/journal. Now it even chmods 600. I've written a copyright notice. The code is here http://robnugen.com/cgi-local/source_viewer.pl?file=rob_update_mailer.pl There is still one last thing to do: delete a list. I'll test that now, but it doesn't involve sending any emails.permalink prev day next day |
