Entries this day: Bergen,_Norway Lost_Bergen_transcription zzz_Mr_Show Bergen, Norway Bergen, Norway In the port orientation yesterday, Bergen, Norway was described as featuring 275 days of rain per year and a possible temperature of 10 to 20 degrees C during July. I wasn't expecting much when I got off the boat, but I assure you, it's is *beautiful* today! Bright sun and warm breeze. Totally brilliant. I wandered around outside in this little city nestled in a fiord, the remains of a glacier's path to the sea during the last ice age. The weather is clear and beautiful, and the sunlight plans to last all day and all night. Even at 3am, it's light enough to see outside. Last night on the boat was a variety show of performances, including flag semaphore, belly dancing, salsa dancing, Korean drumming, various Japanese performances (song and dance), ukulele, etc, etc. I was in the Salsa performance. And I've just uploaded pictures! http://robnugen.com/images/travel/Pb/49th_May-Aug_2005/first_month/ http://robnugen.com/images/travel/Pb/49th_May-Aug_2005/-5_july_2005/ Thanks for the emails; I've enjoyed hearing from my homies back home. Love Love Love - Rob!permalink Lost Bergen transcription 1:47pm JST Thursday 29 September 2005 While transcribing tapes, I foolishly deleted Bergen entries and never retyped them. But I have pictures. I basically walked into the city alone, talking into my tape recorder about what I was seeing. Everything was far too expensive for my tastes (I should live there and get a job if I wanna make some phat cash) so I just hung out in the makeshift internet cafe slash souvenir shop near the ship.
zzz Mr Show 1:06am CEST Wednesday 06 July 2005 Watched Mr Show in Greg and Brandts room. It reminds me of Karina (my step sister) and her humor. I bet she has seen it. permalink |
