Today

6:13pm IST Tuesday 01 November 2005

I'm not miles behind, but I have to work to catch up...

I will probably never fill in the gaps of the previous entry.

Earlier today I went to Palestinian Vision and wrote an email for Rami, basically telling their benefactor that another NGO had kept funds away from PalVision, but with the benefactor's approval. The funds were going to be used for a project in a different city instead of the original one planned by PalVision (Jerusalem). Rami still wanted to do the project in Jerusalem, and wanted to organize a way to do that.

Also met Nayira, who taught me (and Max) some Arabic, and will teach me again tomorrow at 10am.

If it works out well, I will offer to pay her for her efforts, and look into having her suggest an Arabic teachin' book that I can use while on p\b.

I've just spent the last 2 hours or so talking to Dave from Chicago,.. getting into deeper sharing of family history and personal growth issues, but not 100% specifics. I touched a huge well of sadness telling him about having broken up with Wende.

He is interested in getting a blog hooked up online.

Silent Football was awesome last night!! We had 10 players!!

I was dictator first, then Sarah, then Dave. We played for over 2 hours. So fantastic!

But right now we are about to get some fooooood!!

I added some pictures from when I walked in search of the ministry of health.

Food was fun. Suzanne, Trent, Ben, Dave and I hung out chowing falafel sandwiches down on the tables basically under the blinky lights near the Faisal. We hung out in Jerusalem near Damascus Gate. Fucking awesome.

Awesome! I just spent about an hour in a mostly Japanese language conversation, both speaking and listening.

Before that, I spent probably over an hour chatting with Rochelle, a big portion of which was spent in a strange theological (?) debate with Ben, kinda sorta trying to explain why we believe there is more to life than meat, and that science is a self-limiting construct.

Could not make much headway either way.

Didn't play silent football tonight, but (who-was-it?) got a text message from Chris and David; they were playing silent football in Hebron! It's expanding!!

Even though I'm supposed to be studying Arabic in eight hours, I am still typing.

Finally got settled on my visa situation today: because I would basically have to forge two documents to get the Brazilian visa done in Tel-Aviv, I will go back to Japan early to get it done there. Unfortunately, there is only 1 flight per week, and the flight that is quite convenient timing-wise is filled with 7 passengers on the wait list. So I went a week ahead and will fly outta here on the 17th of November.

Gotta go to bed now.

Have a good night.

I'll type more tomorrow.

Just how long can I keep this up?

Keep going, and I'll find out.

Last one, is right here.

Maybe not.

Now this has got to be the last one.

Okay, then, this one.

Perhaps this will do.

Quit writing new sentences! Just go to bed!

Right now, I will stop.

Sounds like a good idea, right?

Took a bit too long to think of this one.

Unfinished sentences are no longer making sense.

Very good idea to go to bed.

Will I stop this?

Xcruciating circumstances permit a misspelling.

Yes, this is the end.

Zzzzzzzzz.
