Fantastic Rabbits

Nikki (Etsuko, I think), who came to Fantastic Rabbits yesterday to scope it out, did not come today. I hope she finds a class that's perfect for her.

Angelina (Tamami) came back, and was quite well-synched with the class.

Looks like Fantastic Rabbits will have a fantastic GET program!

Today we talked about some good and bad points about PB, a discussion that was a bit out of their reach. I told them the reason for the topic: we can help guide PB, the organization, helping choose how things are run, etc.

Then we had a simpler discussion of how we'd like to use English during the voyage. They would like to do the Peach Boy performance, and I am thrilled to hear they all want to join the speech contest on 24 March! George was peer pressured into it, but I am sure it will be great for him.

Wow. Today zoomed by like a rabbit... I ate lunch upstairs after a nap where I showed Rei bottle number 3, which was dated yesterday, but didn't get tossed overboard. She did the drop and we watched it bob in the water as the boat relatively sped away.

Coordinated a date with Rei at the formal dinner tonight! We have differing seating times, so she will have to sneak in to my seating. I hope it's not an issue. I'm sure we can talk our way in.

Fighting Goats class was alright, but not as good as I would have liked it, given that Matt was evaluating. I met three of my students afterward, and amazingly enough, one of them thought Matt had been there to evaluate if she was the correct level for the class. At least I think that's what she was asking. Wow. I assured her that was not the case, and hoped she would stay in the class; some concern about not being good enough... tears and the whole bit.

Met four Fantastic Rabbits in 1-on-1 things in Yacht Club.

Matt gave feedback on the evaluation, basically wants me to spend more time preparing for lessons, something I probably would have said to me were I in his position.

Fast GET meeting in Sunshine Bar, led by Karen. 26 minutes and much clapping afterward.

Pretty cool storm outside now, more wind than rain, but less wind than when we had that lovely typhoon during 49th voyage.

Dinner was nice. I sat between Lisa (on my left) and Tomoyo, the girl with semi-heavy eye makeup, with Rei across from me.

Carl tried to get extra dessert of apple pie and ice cream, but it didn't happen.

One funny thing surpassed all others at the table. Lisa said something like, "oh my god, these cream packets - do you know how many I go through a day?"

In coach voice I was like, "well, 1 for breakfast, 1 for lunch, ah, hell, I dunno, a hundred?"

Rei and I went for a stroll on top deck and chilled in the stairs in front of the bridge telling stories about childhoods and future plans and how I came to live in Japan.

We could hear the wind going crazy outside, so we decided to step out into it. I got pretty soaked, and tried to keep her dry, though the rain prevailed. Downstairs next to the T-club and to our neighborhood where we found Dan asleep in my room, Yuki asleep across the hall, but Carla still awake. She jumped up all excited to see the rain, so we joined her, though it took two tries to get all three of us up there. The second time was with Tony as well.

Back downstairs, Rei painted my toenails and we joked about how quickly Carla falls asleep.

Not lost lost, but I can't seem to find it here. I must have left it in 3029.

I will have to jump out of bed when the guy does the announcements at 7:07am. I'm meeting Fighting Goats at 7:10am.

Oh, this is the day we took our first Larium tablets. I wonder if I will have freaky dreams.
