Entries this day: AM_dream Breakfast Fantastic_Rabbits Fighting_Goats Today AM dream 7:55am SCT Saturday 14 January 2006 Dreamt about learning Japanese. No weird Larium dreams. permalinkBreakfast 7:55am SCT Saturday 14 January 2006 Saw Carla, Stacy, Petra, Erica, Kellie, and Phil during breakfast up at Yacht Club. People seemed sleepy after the Sparty, save for Petra and Kellie. Kellie inquired about the scanning; she now has the 16 300dpi JPGs that I wasn't happy with last night; she said she's happy to clean them up and save in TIF so they can be laid out in relatively small file space. permalinkFantastic Rabbits 10:06am SCT Saturday 14 January 2006 Fantastic Rabbits were fantastic again today; George (Koji) presented Rapa Nui for us and everyone asked questions. Plus, everyone had done homework and joined in the discussions afterward. They've basically decided to do the bulk of Peach Boy in class because everyone is so busy. Nikki (Etsuko, I think) has dropped out of class officially after her 1 day cameo, so the Fantastic Rabbits asked if I would take her role as grampa. "You will be couple with Angelina..." (Tamami) I'm sure I'll get some ribbing around that. permalinkFighting Goats 2:18pm SCT Saturday 14 January 2006 Pretty sortof okay class with Fighting Goats. I dropped the level down to a far easier grammar and did plenty of.... I guess I didn't give enough examples, or maybe I need to to drills... Actually it's like three of the girls are totally on and totally getting it, and three of them are totally quiet and I totally don't know if they are not getting it, if they are just "shy" or if they can't think of examples. I despise doing drills, and I'm prettttty sure they don't need them. I can't really imagine putting them the three chatty ones through drills, but I may have to resort to that just to get people talking. Maybe a die with a word to fill in the blank. I can make a die with paper or just ... oh I can use one of my tigger boxes inside out. Up on the top deck we were describing the weather, which I thought would be easy enough, and would wake them up. Nice and breezy to whisk away all contaminants so I tried to fart but was like, "whups; that's not a fart" and stopped everything just in time. permalinkToday 1:22am SCT Sunday 15 January 2006 A lot of today was spent getting the Mombassa Challenge Program booklet properly set out on the computers. In the end, I found Irfan Viewer rules, and was able to do everything I wanted with it. Specifically append pictures side by side. After that was dinner then 30 minute GET Meeting led by Liz, who joined Pepe at the end for a Spanish lesson. We learned how to shake our asses. I'm falling asleep while writing this. Pretty funny... umm, a bit of dinner talking to Tony behind Yacht Club in a conversation dominated by Pepe and then traded massages with CC Rie, and then worked on Mombassa CP stuff starting at 8:30pm, but Pepe wasn't there right at that time, so he ended up waiting in GET Room 10 while I was up in Peace Center meeting Tamo who helped me cut and fold the booklets. Laura and Pepe came up after a while and worked with me, and then Pepe did the rest of the stapling while I went to T-club for more massage action, with lots of wiggling. I was partnered with Nick. Massage was called goldfish massage cause we wiggle our partners like a wriggling goldfish. I got ironed after that. Nice. Tomorrow we will be in Port Victoria, Seychelles! permalinkprev day next day |
