Doctor

9:55am SCT Monday 16 January 2006

Holy fuck.. what happened to eastern medicine in Japan?

I go into the doctor cause my ear is a bit cloggy feeling after diving and come back with ear drops, and antibiotic tablet, anti-inflamitory, and something to "support my stomach" in taking all these meds.

how much does this fucking cost PB????

AND and, he only looked in my left ear, not my right.

Microsoft sucks

5:29pm SCT Monday 16 January 2006

Microsoft Sucks.

On this Microsoft Sucks keyboard, not only is there a key labeled POWER, which, if pressed, shuts down Windows Sucks without verification, but,

when I accidentally pressed the key labeled POWER, Windows Sucks shut down Microsoft Word Sucks with unsaved files that I was editing.

I turned the computer back on, and it took about 5 minutes for it to check the disk for errors, load drivers, load Windows Sucks, load drivers, and get settled. Note carefully, this time included checking the disk for errors because Microsoft Sucks had not been shut down properly.

NOT Only all of that, but when I loaded Microsoft Sucks Word, and it said there were autosaved versions of the files, and I should choose the one I wanted..... it forced me to specify the old file name to save them.

ie, I chose the file, clicked save, and it was like, "what name would you like to save the file?" SAVE IT THE SAME FILE NAME IT ALREADY WAS!! "A file with that name already exists. Are you sure you want to overwrite?"

YOU MEAN TO FUCKING TELL ME THAT I CAN'T SAVE A FILE AS ITSELF WITHOUT A DIALOG BOX, BUT I CAN SHUT DOWN WINDOWS, LOSE DATA, CORRUPT DISKS, WITH A SINGLE KEYPRESS AND NO DIALOG BOX?

How embarassing for Microsoft Sucks to write a product so shitty that I have resorted to writing in all caps like some loner screaming about something inane. Like this. Can't believe how fucked up Microsoft is.

Powerbook rules

On my Macintosh Powerbook Rules, there is a power key. If I press it, a dialog box pops up and asks if I want to Restart, Sleep, Cancel, or Shutdown. Now, arguably, the Cancel option should be placed after Shutdown, to but a dialog box pops up.

I love my Macintosh. I will never buy a Windows Sucks machine again.

Today

2:43pm SCT Monday 16 January 2006

Today is pretty quiet and lazy, save for Mombassa Challenge Program setup and presentation, we've got not much to do. Except prepare for lessons tomorrow and do laundry.

I was massaging Carla's shoulders / back and noticed a bit of a bend in her spine. I'm finding myself quite interested in getting a massage therapy type degree.

I just got to be a monkey for the Mombassa Challenge Program presentation. That's basically my favorite character to play because I get to climb on things and not get in trouble for it. I was running around the room sniffing things and mime-picking and eating lice off people's heads, and sniffing and eating bits of paper, plus climbing on the chairs, tables, railings, counters. At the end, Matt was like, "good job," which I highly doubt he would have said had I done that and climbed on everything without wearing a monkey outfit. Awesome.

The waitstaff on this ship really impress me with how well they treat the passengers. They learn our names so quickly, they're always smiling (almost all of them), they just .... flood the room with cheerful energy.
