Entries this day: Noon_croquet Pasacon second_night Noon croquet 12:45pm JST Tuesday 04 April 2006 (day 13159) Just watched some old folks play croquet after meditating for a bit. Some of them seemed good at times and one seemed crotchety. When he got to bonk another player's ball, he would knock the shit out of it, even though the game boundary was just 3 feet away and people standing in his line of fire. I heard from a couple that weather was scheduled to be bad tomorrow. D'oh! Just just ate at McDs again. Foolishly, I don't have Rie's parents contact info. I might be able to get it easily if I can get internet access. permalinkPasacon 3:10pm JST Tuesday 04 April 2006 (day 13159) Super thank you to the ももたろうパソコン教 s-hadano$bl.mmtr.or.jp (change $ to @), for letting me use their internet connection. I'm surprised they don't have a URL, but... I scoped an email from Rie; her parents no longer live in Mishima. There goes that idea! On my way out, I was invited to have a cup of coffee, so I asked if tea was okay, but they repeated coffee, so I declined, but I should have stayed and told my story and gave my business card. Dammit. I was a bit embarassed to stay given how I think I must stink. permalinksecond night 7pm-ish Tuesday 04 April 2006 I am parked for the second night. This time under a bridge (route 246) near a river that's basically too far down for me to reach. It's cloudy now - could rain tomorrow, which is why I picked a bridge. Not well protected from the wind, so I'm hoping it will be warm. Today was the day a guy sorta-kinda fixed my brakes a little tiny bit, but they were mostly just the same. Good thing he didn't charge me! Also today an old guy drew me a map to a place I can camp, but I didn't end up going that far back before I found this bridge. permalinkprev day next day |
