Entries this day: AM_late_start Dwindling_to_do_list Funny_email_to_g Today AM late start 11:21am JST Friday 19 May 2006 (day 13204) Kazzah got off to a late start this morning, like "oh shit; it's 8:30!" when she usually tries to leave by around then, but I think she still left for work on time enough to make it on time. I basically woke up, meditate/slept sitting up for 50 minutes, then slept for another hour, and now am awake for sheezy, about to bring the pudding and chinese veggies we/she made last night to her office where I'll have internet all day. yay! permalinkDwindling to do list 12:07am JST Thursday 18 May 2006 (day 13203) Things to do* = finished;
Funny email to g Puzzle Boxes
g - These are things I did not get you in Japan yesterday (*). The house puzzle boxes on the left are far more complicated to open than say, a soap bubble. They require 2 moves. The box on the right is 21 moves. I asked the woman about the biggest and she said 74 moves. I was all like, "hand it over, jack" and she said she didn't have any available. "Just how big are these Supa Seventy-Fo's?" She indicated with her hands about 24 X 18 X 12 inches. Nice. "Just how much are they?" She indicated with the calculator on the counter: 57,000 (yen, that is) I didn't buy you one of those, either. - G (*) this is a message I wrote to Fred after visiting Nikko with Ma and Jon back in like September 2003. permalinkToday 11:59pm JST Friday 19 May 2006 (day 13204) Gotta bunch of crizap done on my computer and site today. Basically clearing pictures off my computer and making sure they're on my site and moving some to new locations that better fit where I think they should be. I don't want to store images in /images/journal/... anymore, but would rather classify them as a type of image instead of just a date. To this end, and in a big near-flub-up, after I named and uploaded a whole shload of pictures from when janette brought Fred and I was leaving NOVA and moving to Millenium House and all this stuff, I realized many of those pictures (from different parties) were already on my site (in the aforementioned /images/journal directory) so.... despite the possibility of getting 404s, I deleted those, pointed the journal entries to the new versions (that now have human-readable names instead of 0.jpg, etc) and wiped them all from my local computer. That took a pretty long time, but is definitely in line with getting shiznit sorted out on my site. permalinkprev day next day |
