AM dream

7:48am JST Tuesday 25 July 2006

Maggie telling me about her son, whom I've never met though he is old enough to be seeing ghosts in his room at night. I encouraged her to not simply discount the ghosts as invented apparations, but possibly real.

She said she could hear most of them being invented in the bathroom, with various knockings happening all the way to her son's room. She was sure it wasn't real.

Done with shoulder checkups

9:19am JST Tuesday 25 July 2006

I'm at the hospital for my final shoulder checkup. I think it will be my final one. I've got nearly 100% ROM and only slight tension in the most extreme of muscle extension.

Man; that took forever. And he wants to see me again on the 29th of August, I think.

Hitomi joke

5:11pm JST Tuesday 25 July 2006

Hitomi planned to meet Miki in Shibuya. I know Miki from 49th voyage, so Hitomi invited me, as a surprise to Miki.

But, Miki and I met up at 54th departure, so we planned to play a trick on Hitomi tonight: pretend like we don't know each other.

I wonder how it will turn out.

But first, I am going to try to recover my umbrella from the hospital without having to pay to exit and enter the train station.

Nice. Got it. The station attendant let me out no worries.

Shibuya with Hitomi and Miki

12:15am JST Wednesday 26 July 2006

The plan to trick Hitomi basically didn't work at all because Miki and I were sitting next to each other when Hitomi walked up.

Ate a lovely dinner at a resaurant that I could probably find again. Had some dishes for the first time tonight. Can't name them, but can describe a couple.

Deep fried spring rolls, but with super shattery fibery shell instead of thin dough.

Large shrimp in an orangey milky sauce.

Something else good.

Dinner conversation was 1/2 English and 1/2 Japanese. Miki got to understand it all.

Supa thanks to Hitomi for paying the bill; I certainly enjoyed a lovely time.

After dropping Miki off near Shibuya station, Hitomi and I went to the McDonald's on the other side of Yamanote from Hachiko where we tested out Yahoo!BB connectivity. It took a bit to follow all the directions, but got connected.

I was able to connect her WordPress and Gallery2 apps for her website. Shweet.

Zzzz monkey

2:12am JST Wednesday 26 July 2006

I'm way too tired to write much, but there was a tall guy with a small monkey in Shibuya. He was talking on his cell phone with a small crowd of people around him and a monkey climbing all over them, inspecting everything for edibility and portability.

Dammit if my camera wasn't working.

(My camera wasn't working.)

Dammit.
