Wih a new group of friends I came across in a stadium playing frisbee, but with little wack frisbees instead of ultimate discs (little cheap promotional discs), not golf discs, and they welcomed me into the group, and I immediately thought of a new game to play.

One person throws a water bottle, and another person catches it. The person who threw the bottle then gives a task for the catcher to do. If the catcher can't do it, the next nearby person tries it until someone can complete it and gets the point.

Someone threw to me, and my task was to charade being on the beach. I didn't have much room, but danced around frolickingly a bit, and the did a shoulder roll, though I didn't get all the way back up, so I thought the group was going to booboo my attempt, but they gave me the point.

I threw the bottle, and the person toyed with wanting to know what the task was before choosing to accept (clearly against the rules), but she finally accepted and I was like, "use the bottle as a chair" and it took her a while to get it; she seemed to think it really hurt to sit on the bottle, even sideways. I was able to do it with little or no discomfort.

Watched Truman Show today. I cried at the end. Each time I saw his real gf, my heart just leapt for joy; she's awesome.

Saw that Google offers an open source code repository using Subversion as the engine. I've never used Subversion before (nor CVS), so I am sortakinda getting a sense of how to do it. I'm probably going to host my images project there. No real reason to do that, though (at least not at this stage), but I just wanna try out Google's offerings.

Damn. I had created a project "image-directory-smurfer" on code.google.com, and finally figured out how to import source code to it. BUT, I didn't want to import my entire cgi-bin directory, so I made a subdirectory with symlinks to the necessary files in cgi-bin.

The first import was flawed in that I had created a local version of tags/ branches/ and trunk/, and they all got copied into the trunk/ in the repository, so my code was available in trunk/trunk/ which is just stupid.

I fixed that, and then went to check my handywork.

Unfortunately, the previously imported directories were still there, cluttering up the directory structure. But even worse, the import didn't follow the symbolic links. Just made a file with the text "Link to /full/path/filename.ext" for whatever files I had symlinked.

I deleted the project. But I really liked the name.

Knowing Google's (in)ability to handle individual users' issues, I bet it would be a huge pain to recover the name and start over with the source.

Funny - I just realized I donated well over 8 hours of website setup time to her. That's normally worth a lot of money.
