Dream Elevator freefall

In a rather tall building, on the 7th floor, I wanted t go down. The elevator had no doors or walls; just a floor. Jason (Faisal) was in it (on it) but it was about to go up. Another friend got on mistakenly, though he wanted to go down. Then the elevator switched and started to go down. I jumped on because I also wanted to go own. The extra weigt made the elevator speed up until we were free fall for a momet. I wanted to aologize to my friends, but the elevator ecovered in the las few oments and we were okay.

Fred put the first CD worth of desired data online this morning. Got it downloaded so I will soon try to get my old Marble Blast level working again.

I should work on something more useful, probably.

Ah well.

I did not get everything.

wget defaults to 5 directory deep recursion.

I set it to 20 and am trying again.

Not sure why the numbers seemed to match so well.  That's a bit spooky.

Arrived at work in plenty of time today. 4.33 hours of classes today.

I've decided not to name each student, due to privacy issues.

Work was cool; I got to chat with a girl (high schooler) who's leaving in just a few days for a full year homestay in the US. Holy cripes she will come back a changed person. I taught her basics like names of coins and who is on 1 / 5 dollar bills, and unit conversions and shtuff. Her English level is fine.

A different student asked if I was a full time teacher there.

"No, but tell Reiko if you'd like me to be."

Talked to Reiko for a while during my last lesson, which was a no-show.

marble blast

I tried to merge the latest Marble Blast Gold with settings files from my old version of Marble Blast. Got no change for a while, and then I moved several files over and broke the game. Crud.

But the really stupid thing is those cats at Garage Games haven't responded to my plea FOUR DAYS AGO to help me purchase the game. Their javascript won't let me enter a non-US zipcode for my credit card address... ack; it's just ridiculous.

I even CCed Alex Swanson because I had traded a couple emails with him before, and I know he's a pretty heavy hitter in GG.
