Entries this day: Email_to_get_MKP_here Getting_TJ_Bike_soon Semi-non-productive_day Email to get MKP here 12:16pm JST Sunday 6 August 2006 Ho, men I am Rob Nugen, Thunder Rabbit, November 1997. After 5 years of joyful attendance in our I-group, I chose to travel the world. My Monday night connection to reality is one thing I miss dearly. I lived in Tokyo, Japan for 2 years, traveled the world for 15 months, and seem to be setting into Tokyo again (to work my way out of debt incurred during my travels). I still miss you men and my connection to heart-centered communication. I see Japan as a country suffering from its culture: people are expected to hide their emotions. I judge this has an affect on the high number of suicides here. Some say the highest percentage of any country in the world. I want to support the introduction of Mankind Project into Tokyo. The hurdles seem huge, and I have a great flurry of shadows holding me back from even considering such a project. But I must step forward. Do you know anyone who has expressed interest in introducing the training to Japan? Do you know any Mankind Project participants who are fluent in Japanese? Does The Drum still exist? I didn't see any references to it on mkp.org You are welcome to forward / publish this email including my address to anyone or anywhere you wish. In service, HO!permalink Getting TJ Bike soon Hi Nachiko!! How are you? How did you enjoy departure? I wasn't able to watch the ship leave. Too sad being on the wrong side of the water! How is TJ Bike? If possible, I would like to come get him soon. If possible, I would like to leave Odawara early in the morning so I can be sure to have enough daylight hours to get back to Tokyo. Would it be possible to stay overnight at your house some night? If not, I can work out something else. What is your schedule like next week? I have two students on Wednesday each week. Other than that, I can keep my schedule clear. See you hopefully soon! - Robpermalink Semi non productive day 11:24pm JST Sunday 6 August 2006 After sending those emails, I spent basically all day on my computer, looking for code that records clicks on a google map thing and stores them in mySQL for subsequent red line drawing on a map. As in a line describing where TJ Bike and I went on our little 1100km adventure. Some issues: I plan to have a lot of points; will that slow it down too much? Also worked on my hands-off Marble Blast level. I've got it about 1/5th of the way "finished" but there is still the incredibly tricky gravity modifier spiral. Used to have some perl code that would help me with that, but it was lost with my old machine. 1:14am JST Monday 7 August 2006 And, I just got sidetracked from this entry enjoying a chat with Fred about his latest projects and my latest "projects" and stuff. He's at Josh and Katy's house now. なつかしい。 I wonder what it's like from their point of view that I'm in Japan. (( Josh was like, "where is he?" "Japan." "That's crazy." )) permalinkprev day next day |
