Turns out, the peace house was founded by a man I know in Dallas! permalinkFred at Dude's 1:21pm JST Monday 28 August 2006 Fred is at Dude's house. Cool. Fred telling Dude stories makes me wonder if we could entertain ourselves by recording videos on youtube - basically sharing our oldschool stories that way. For some reason, Fred hasn't been able to get custom levels working in Marble Blast. permalinkGateway data CD/track Wave I / Discovery 6: Free Flow 10 body position upright against pillow CD player Panasonic SL-CT510 headphones Audio-Technica ATH-T3 ambient temperature 25 C clothing underwear working nostril(s) right emotional state antsy physical sore head fine stomach asleep pain/soreness back and calves phone/door missing / closed time allowed 30 minutes + ambient light filtered sunligh ambient noise highway 246 date/time 11:32am JST Monday 28 August 2006 location Sakurashinmachi apartment 12:09pm JST Monday 28 August 2006 Requested some insight on my addiction. On the way to the station trying to walk with good posture, with the intention of remaining well-aligned and not slumped over when I'm old. Weird: there is a new message on the train announcements in English. Basically "don't run for the train, you may slip and fall..." duh. - - - - I finally remembered to look up where Metropolis is available in Shibuya. Plan to snag a (few) cop(y|ies) on the way to work. permalinkToday at EV 1:26pm JST Monday 28 August 2006 blog.goo.ne.jp/alansmithee/ was given as a photo website of one of my students today. permalinkWeather in Tokyo 1:28pm JST Monday 28 August 2006 Last week it was comfortably warm for a couple days and everyone including all of my students were like "wah wah wah wah it's so hot, blah blah, is Texas hot? blah blah" First: Texas is well bigger than Japan. In the north it's cold, and in the south it's hot. But comparing Tokyo to Houston: Houston is hotter and more humid than Tokyo. iirc, when I looked up the annual averages, Houston and Tokyo reached the same high temperature in August... BUT Houston maintains that high for over a week. Tokyo hits it just 1 or 2 days. And Houston is more humid. I'm blessed to have a roommate who *also* doesn't want to use air conditioner. We just have the windows open. No worries. permalink |
