No Yuri

I am pretty sure today is the day Yuri and I agreed to meet at Hachiko at 11am. I've been here since like 10:40am, but still no sign of Yuri yet.

It's been interesting to watch people meet and greet each other at Hachiko, and tourists (including Japanese) taking pictures of Hachiko. The greetings are of people who haven't seen each other in a long time, with people running to each other when eye contact is made, (sometimes with the assistance of cell phones), and then with exxagerated waves and happy smiles.

There's a social experiment here somewhere, but I'm not sure what.

Yuri just made it. She had taken the Sebu line in Ikebukero instead of Yamanote.

We had great fun looking through her PB pictures. I decided Easter Island was right near the tiptop of the list of favorite ports. It's so

so

beautiful.

Yuri is a great friend: really interested in meeting people and learning details of their lives. She's still in touch with several of the crew members and all of her roommates and I can just imagine she's as warm hearted and friendly (asking questions, and actually caring about the answers) with all of them as with me.

After sandwiches in Loteria, we wandered a bit around Shibuya then tasty beverages in allegedly the highest grossing Starbucks in the world.

今日仕事で私の脳はちょっとへんなかんじです。あまりフォクスできないので、時々何にも話せない。

今朝ユリちゃんと渋谷で散歩しました。ハチ公で会って、ロテリアでサンドを食べながらPBの写真を見させた。

おつかれさま。ただいま、ひろゆきさん、すごっく元気男の人と８０分間しゃべりました。かれの英語はかんぺっきじゃなくて、すごい早いもうらさいも面白い。今度かれとしゃべりたい。お名前教えた時フランスワの名前選んだ時教えた。フランスワも「ひろゆき」になりなかった。

私たちはアメリカ人も日本人のちがうことを話して、パレシチナもイスラエルもいろいろwarをしゃべりました。

すごく面白かったです。
