Entries this day: Dream_hookup_party Gateway_data No_lessons_today Reading Seamonkey_browser Surprise_Mac_thing gmail_catchup Dream hookup party 11:06am JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) I was walking outside and close to a university, and a whole bunch of Japanese were waiting and waiting for the light to turn green, though the street they wanted to cross was nothing more than a sidewalk, and not crowded. I just walked across, behind the back of the cop who was monitoring the intersection, and ignored anything that sounded like, "hey, where are you going??" and went into the school under the guise of wanting to register for classes. Wandered into a room and found myself at a party designed for people to meet and hook up, but every time I started getting really groovy baby, I got shut down. As I left the party, I met a woman who seemed more interested, but I woke up before we talked too much. The party was advertised as if its participants could really get raw and crazy, but then all the resulting materials (album covers and art) had to be quite family oriented. I was getting close to a black girl and a mexican girl at the same time, but then they both dumped me because I wasn't choosing one or the other. I chose the black girl because she was tall, but she was like fuckoff (not so harshly) and walked away, but I couldn't tell if she was joking. There was an aspect of the party like a game to get as many people's ribbons as possible, as that meant they were interested in hooking up, but we couldn't get too many ribbons because then people would think we hadn't been playing fairly. permalinkGateway data CD/track Wave III / Freedom 3: Vectors body position on back with knees bent CD player Panasonic SL-CT510 headphones Audio-Technica ATH-T3 ambient temperature 28 C clothing underwear, janette's quilt working nostril(s) left emotional state fine physical fine head fine stomach fine pain/soreness none phone/door off/closed time allowed hours ambient light waning daylight through curtains ambient noise highway 246 through double pane window date/time 5:04pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) location Sakurashinmachi apartment 5:37pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) Pretty solid awake for most of it, and when it came to perceiving floating in the ball, I didn't notice much. Perceiving above my head felt cold, then to my right felt like a stretching to the right. To the bottom I started to have dream images and felt water dreams or liquid alcohol, and then to the left people were beckoning me to join them. I basically fell asleep durng the rest of the directions. permalinkNo lessons today 2:55pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) Stupidly, I missed my lesson with Kaoru today. She had requested we meet at 10am instead of noon. I totally slept through it. Fuck. Then Sayuri just called me a bit ago and asked to cancel our lesson again this week (same as last week)... I asked her to give me 24 hours advance warning if she can next time. I hope she'd be willing to tell me honestly if it's something else and she just doesn't want to meet me anymore. Just so I can move on to another student. ¤ä¤ëµ¤ is down as a result; I don't want to do shit today. permalinkReading 7:15pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) Just been reading about Abrams M1 tanks, the new Stryker replacements, and Apache helicopters with hellfire missles that can take them all out. Interesting that a helicopter seems to beat a tank in this case, but my imagination says tanks are more prevalent. I wonder why. As personnel carriers? permalinkSeamonkey browser 7:20pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) Just installed Seamonkey browser (that's what I used to read the war stuff), but I can't say that I like it particularly more than just Firefox. Perhaps if I choose to store mail locally, I would do it... but.. Yeah, it's worth a look; I don't want to store ALL my mail locally, but just what's in my gmail inbox. If I can do that, then I'd like to. permalinkSurprise Mac thing 7:11pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) Wow. I just tried to alt-tilde through windows, but I hit alt-esc instead and found a super-glossy graphical interface to effectively dumb down the machine to a simple DVD player / movie maker / photo editor / music player. Hmm. Fair enough. It's a clunky interface (e.g. I don't know of an efficient way to use it besides arrowing through the menus; no mouse or character input items work) but it's pretty. Not that I care about pretty but. .. I am listening to Tori Amos now. permalinkgmail catchup 8:10pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) I've got 222 messages in my gmail inbox. 66 are unread, and 80 are starred (16 are both unread and starred). Starring and unreading has basically been my way of drawing my attention to them to read later. Later has just arrived. First, the ones that are both starred and unread. 9:40pm JST Wednesday 20 September 2006 (day 13328) Okay. Now 0 messages are both starred and unread. 50 are unread, and 65 are starred. 10:41pm JST Progress has slowed considerably. There are 200 messages in my inbox. 48 are unread, and 60 are starred. permalinkprev day next day |
