Entries this day: DO_today Eri Kim Magic_ice_cream_sticks Reika Work DO today 1:36am JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364)
Eri 10:11am JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) Really nice to chat with Eri again; we were both online at the same time so I sent her an email to see if she wanted to chat. We did for a while, which was nice. I had to bite my finger to keep from asking her why she hadn't replied to my other emails, but perhaps we'll get around to that topic later. permalinkKim 10:14am JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) Kim was like, "how much time did you actually spend developing a relationship with her?" _________________________ his question floored me _____________________ what has that got to do with anything???? and holy shit he's exactly right... "about 100 hours." 12:25pm JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) Holy shit... thinking in terms of projections makes so much sense..., and seems like a paradigm shift in my belief system. My version of my notes from last night: There exist untapped parts of myself. Aspects of myself, which, for some reason have been neglected or supressed or disowned. I see these in other people, and recognize them as valuable, but don't recognize them in myself. And there are parts of myself that I reject, see them in other people, and despise those people. 12:38pm JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) I'd like to capture my thinking from 24 hours ago: I love Paige because she's friendly, working for the UN, intelligent, successful, outgoing, traveling, passionate about life I love Sally because she's funny, passionate, outgoing, expressive, musical, inspirational, supportive, blessing I love Eri because she's centered, wise, friendly, peaceful, introspective I love janette because she's cenetered, funny, understanding, genuine, thoughtful, hilarious, creative, strong, passionate, brave, adventurous I love Rei because she's unphased by shenanigans, intelligent, cuts through crap, focused, penetrating mind, happy, graceful Therefore they are top on the list of possible relationship candidates (except for living way far away (in most cases)) ---- Now I'm changing the "therefore" part of it. They are all these things. Finish. Therefore I respect them; namaste; etc. But none of this trying to possess them for their qualities. 1:00pm JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) This, also, is huge: Yesterday I was nurturing relationships with 500 million different women, but today I see that activity as a huge drain of my energy and resources. I literally have started emails all gushing with flirtations, and now I'm thinking "yah yah whatever, come if you want; I don't care." Because some of the emails are in Japanese, I don't know how to express the down-to-business reality.. just the flirty たてまえ version. interesting. permalinkMagic ice cream sticks 10:56am JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) Woah. Like magic, 300 ice cream sticks have arrived in my life for the low low price of 250 yen. (At Tokyu Hands, 50 sticks cost 305 yen.) At the cafe where Reika and I meet, a woman behind the counter recognized me and said something I didn't understand, but then showed me a block of 6 packs of 50 sticks. 「250 円」she said. permalinkReika 12:15pm JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) Good lesson with Reika today. She asked some fantastic questions for which I was hard pressed to find good answers. I love Shibuya, which is where I work. I love teaching, which is what I do. I love Fred, who is my brother. I love soy milk, which is what I drink. The verbs are different. Fred is my brother. I drink soy milk. I work in Shibuya. I do teach. This sentence no verb. permalinkWork 6:13pm JST Thursday 26 October 2006 (day 13364) When I arrived today, my schedule featured 2 breaks for an hour each. During the day, the first hour break was filled with an extra student, and the first 20 minutes of the second break was filled with a prospective student. Four more students today, including Akiko for 80 minutes. She's super chatty and fun. I just finished the tutorial for my first flash animation thing. Pretty easy, though I didn't look carefully at the code (just cut-n-pasted it. It looked pretty easy, though) permalinkprev day next day |
