AM

9:21am JST Saturday 16 December 2006 (day 13415)

Wow. I had to wait for the shower this morning. Had no eggs available for breakie, so I just cooked the remaining 1/2 onion, clove of garlic, two small green peppers, cheese,

and several sausages for breakfast.

haha and you thought it would be vegetarian.

On the Keio Inokashira line from Shibs to Kichijoji now, headed to work. 1 hour worth of scheduled breaks today. Yuria isn't on my schedule today. Wha??? She's been a cornerstone for weeks!

This morning on the Denentoshi Line I discovered my batteries were dead slash sleeping slash on strike after getting my circa 1990 sound system set up. None of them pesky iPods for me.

Actually, I'd love one, but just can't afford it now.

The woman who just sat to my left looks a lot like Miki in Boston. ¤¢¤Ã! It's Miki's birthday soon!

Shit and I wanna send cards to PB peeps for New Years. Hopefully I'll get my shizola together and do it tonight.

Work

10:43am JST Saturday 16 December 2006 (day 13415)

Just chatted for 40 minutes with a cat who works for a help desk. We started talking about programming and operating systems and I was (gently) harshing on M$ saying I just think M$ is icky feeling, and won't use their products on my machine; I prefer emacs for writing and programming (he was like, "what software do you use for coding?"; he uses Visual Studio); Apache is the primary web server in the world, so that must say something, blah blah blah.

Later he was like, "I work for Microsoft."

Nice.

I especially like how I didn't back pedal at all, but rewound the conversation in my head and was like, "but you have Macintoshes in your office?" and he explained that a lot of people at M$ have Macs, ostensibly to test M$ software usability on them.

driving

I'm wondering if I will want to get a license again when I visit the US this summer.

There are places I want to go, but they might be too boring for a driver to take me.
