Starting some years ago, I downloaded seti@home and even got Wende, Marcel, my brother, and later, Hitomi in on the fun. At one point I even set up all the computers at Gaba to process work units. 20 machines can do a lot of units pretty quickly!

When seti switched to Boinc, I tried downloading the command line client, but couldn't get it configured for some reason. Just recently I downloaded the GUI version, and have set it to work on both SETI and Einstein@home. And, as soon as work units are available, it will work on LHC@home, too.

Downloaded Borat last night, and watched the first 10 minutes. It looks like it will be hilarious. Huge props to Sacha for pulling off a huge performance. The different gags are not all that funny, but that he did them in the middle of "real life" ... amazing.

Flash

Just got some good code working in flash. Really beginning to get a sense of how to use movies within movie in order to encapsulate things in logical ways.

Have also just begun to keep track of my time on the project. I've wanted to do this since Stephen was living here, but just never did. I guess it was hearing the same sorta thing from Aiko that finally got me to do it.

Showertime now, and the more flash. Try to use the same technique on the next part.

Ah, cool. I have an easy schedule at work today. I'm available until 6pm due to i-group tonight, but I've only got students until 4:20. Premium!

I can likely get some good progress in flash before meeting tonight with Tariq and Hitoshi.

Good progress in flash today; got the same technology merged in with the next set of objects, but now have to figure out how to add one more bit of technology to them. Hopefully just as simple as changing a value, but for now I'm not really sure how to do it.

The girl is over tonight; we talked some and she chastised me a bit for not remembering the name of the city from which she hails, and explained that it is "near Kagoshima" in the same way Mercury is near the sun. Well.. you know.

だから、 she won't be coming to visit if I get the CPC guinea pig "job."

I may come back so I can get more air miles, and perhaps see Hanakorea perform here in Tokyo.
