I could imagine the different instructions, though I don't know if I experiencd them as such. In the last minute or so, after coming back from Focus 12 to Focus 10, and he was equalizing the body functions, I totally fell asleep just as he was saying it was time to wake up. I feel quite like I could take a phat nap, which I think I may do now. permalinkPaid rent for May 1:14pm JST Tuesday 10 April 2007 (day 13530) In Japan, the equivalent of a checking account in the US gets about zilch for interest. Like 0.0000000000005% interest. (Perhaps that's an exaggeration, but not by much) Therefore, I find it useless to keep money in my account here, except that it's safe (?). Therefore, instead of getting zero interest, I might as well get credit elsewhere, like with my landlord. So, while Michael was overseas for two months, I slowly shifted the payday from the beginning of the month to the 10th of the previous month. Cause the 10th is payday for me, and I'm not going to get any more money (from EV) before rent is due, so I might as well pay it early. Next month, however, I plan to just pay Michael early, and not pay the entire rent. Or maybe he can just not pay me this month, and I'll not pay next month at all. That makes even more sense. Whoohoo! The goal is to send a shload of money back to my US account, so I can finish paying my credit card ($600) and Ma and g ($3000). permalinkYurika 7:21pm JST Tuesday 10 April 2007 (day 13530) Just had a lesson with Yurika. I'm hella impressed with the amount she studies; it's quite inspiring. Not only did she do lots of perfect homework, she memorized it. Fantastic. ¤¢¤Ã¡£I see she left her hanko here. I just stamped my computer with her name. permalinkflash 12:24am JST Wednesday 11 April 2007 (day 13531) Met with Tariq tonight, online from McDonald's, thanks to Hitomi. :-) We set up some deadlines for the game, and I need to have some stuff together by Thursday at noon. Eeek. Ah, wow. I'm a palindrome worth of days old now. permalinkpreston plan 12:26am JST Wednesday 11 April 2007 (day 13531) I'm planning to meet Preston for lunch this Friday. Cool. He's a pretty intellectual cat at work; I think he talks way over the heads of most of his students, but they keep coming back for more. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, and he's got it all right. permalinktakadanobaba 12:28am JST Wednesday 11 April 2007 (day 13531) Pat invited me to a dinner this Saturday with PB people. Dang. I would love to go; I'm considering cancelling with Shimpei to go see PB peeps. permalinkprev day next day |
