Fixing Maggie's Marble Track

6:57am CDT Thursday 19 July 2007 (day 13631)

First order of business today: fix Maggie's Marble Track. There are a few places that seem to have shrunk so the marbles won't go through anymore.

I used my pocket knife to shave the bottom of the toothpick that's right on the outer curve of the first turn on the leftmost track from the start.

Tried the course and the big marble made it past that point, but soon go stuck at another point of close tolerance.

Hmmm. If I just had a dremel, I could just ...

Holy shizah, certainly my dad has a dremel!

One phone call and 90 seconds later, dremel in hand.

Just for the record...

9:29am CDT Thursday 19 July 2007 (day 13631)

Just for the record, I want to say it feels very natural for me to be here. It's not scary. I haven't gotten stuck. I am sure I'll be able to leave when the time comes, and I'll be able to come back sooner next time.

Zeitgeist Movie

10:48am CDT Thursday 19 July 2007 (day 13631)

Though a lot of my friends will be offended before believing Part I, Part II is an easier bitter pill to swallow. Part III is like, "oh shit!!"

Please. Watch it now.

Now, I have heard many times the strategy "Divide and Conquer," but I've never before thought of it as being applied in a global / life / you-are-in-The-Matrix situation.

But, gender, age, color, wealth, intelligence, ... in addition to nationality and religion... all of these are used to divide us.

We are one.

delivering Maggie's Marble Track

10:51pm CDT Thursday 19 July 2007 (day 13631)

Success. Maggie's Marble Track has been successfully delivered to Maggie!

I didn't think to get a video of her first playing with it; I was happy with its initial success rate, though.

I looked at my *old* marble track, and ... my goodness does it look different. Maggie's Marble Track is so dense compared to Marble Track 1.

Perhaps tomorrow I'll get some 1-vs-2 video going on.
