A state of my life address

State of My Life Address

1. I'm in the United States, specifically at Molly and Will's house, just after having gone to SWUUSI, before which I surprised my Dad, Maggie, Dude, and Ma, in four separate events.

2. This is the first time I've been back to Texas in 4.25 years.

3. So far, I haven't seen Fred nor janette; I hope I can surprise each of them with my appearance in Texas; this whole set of surprises was ultimately precipitated by his surprising me in Narita with janette back in like February 2004, I think.

4. During SWUUSI, I was able to stay pretty in-touch with Ami each morning, as she was finishing work late at night. I'm quite looking forward to her visit and meeting all my peeps here in Tejas.

5. Now we've got a girl band in here with Anna on keyboard and guitar, and Rachel on drum. Such a creative cacauphony!

6. Today and tomorrow or so, I will be going to Maggie's to go through the boxes that she's been holding for these 5 years. (she had them before I went to janette's in Dallas for 6 months.)

7. I will be in Texas until 15 August, and when I go back to Tokyo, I'll be in a new small apartment near Ami's house, and it will be job searchin' time.

8. My finances are happy, especially considering I haven't / won't have a job for a while.

9. Ami is my girlfriend, and I'm happily skyping with her now.

10. Internet access is currently "sporadic," as I'm bouncing between houses and friends, but most of my peeps have solid internet access.

Anna and Rachel

Anna and Rachel woke up before me. I haven't even ventured downstairs yet, but I can smell breakfast and hear their happy chatter, bookmarked by Molly's patient explanations.

I'm going to sit meditatively for a few minutes (8:41am now).

Anna just came up and said gently, "hi, Mr Rob," to see if/how I would react. I was like, "HI Anna." and then she came in and gave me the book I was reading.

Now she's telling me who she wants to marry, but can't because he's her cousin.

Now Anna and Rachel are taking turns playing the piano.

Maggie's house

Been at Maggie's house for a while, half talking, half discovering what I archived, half on my computer, and half snacking on bananas, cereal, and ice cream.

Things I've found include maps of Astroworld (which no longer exists) and lots of CDs, some of which I'm importing to my Amazon S3 iTunes library.

This is after we scoped The Simpsons Movie, which we all found to be pretty funny. Maggie especially liked how they did stair stepped jokes, like the boob woman's boobs, then her using the boobs to point, then the visual of their huge shadow for Homer to see.
