Marcel+Kayse and Molly+Will

Great fun seeing Marcel and Kayse plus Molly and Will and all the chillins of both pairs!

Marcel and I scoped some of my pics from Japan; we could easily have spent hours, but the six+two youngins have a way of requiring attention.

Marcel, Adrien, and I enjoyed a lovely burping contest during lunch.

The kids enjoyed the stairs as a playground, and Maggie's Marble Track as a toy (not on the stairs). It sustained only minor damage (to both switches). Repairing them will be a trick, but I think I can do it.

Adrien got a bit of an allergic reaction after foodage. Perhaps he's allergic to burping contests..

I got to hold their littlest one: Rebekah, only a month old or so. At first I was like, "eeeek!"

Marcel got to hold Francois. He was less squeamish.

Music and shtuff

Today I've been recreating my iTunes music library index; all the files are nice stored on Amazon S3, but the index is stored locally, so it's having to go through all the songs to determine gapless playback information. That's 4 gigs it's downloading. Ack. But ah well.. It's just the small cost of living in the future. (I guess)

internet access

Argh. My internet access here at Maggie's seems intermittant and is causing all kinds of slowness in messing with my internet-stored music library. It won't even load an entire song without calling the connection too slow to be called working.

If you ain't sho, please don't be too risky about it.

Basically my mom is coming to IAH to pick up Ami on Thursday around 6pm.  Then we'll eat and then
zoom back to Austin, for about a 10pm arrival.

If it can be arranged that Nathalie goes to Fred's house at that time, perhaps I can surprizzle him
while he is distrazzled by Nathalie.

I acknowledge this check is late
I can tell by checking the date
in terms of a makeup
poetry I will takeup
and leave the rest to fate

The little boy in me
plays often joyfully
sometimes regretfully
he gets the best of me

I have an addiction I see
I am attached to my PC
I keep myself from thoughtfully
handling business with integrity

I thought I had all my shit straight
My excuse is "I live out of state
in a far away land
known as Japan"
but the data is clear: my check is late

My makeup, I hope you'll accept
At poetry, I'm not so adept
My choices affect me
and also affect thee
integrity means agreements kept
