Entries this day: About_to_leave Banana_through_security Flying About to leave 5:01am CDT Wednesday 15 August 2007 (day 13658) To get synchronized with Japan's clocks, I have stayed up all night, watching Loose Change 2nd Edition, emailing with Ami, downloading videos, and uploading pics from my adventure in the US. I'm still wearing my contacts because I don't know where my glasses are. It's good overall, though; the glasses (though of a cool style) were quite fragile, plus all-but-broken, so it will be good to get some new ones. These contacts are due for replacement in 5 days. Actually 4-ish because of the International Date Line. permalinkBanana through security 7:33am CDT Wednesday 15 August 2007 (day 13658) I'm not sure if bananas are considered lethal fruits when getting on airplanes these days, but my pure rubber shoes certainly are. I acted like a dick and left them on the floor when the woman was like, "take off your shoes before you go through the machine," as my little bit of protest, and then I put each shoe in a watch/wallet/change dish to put them through the X-ray machine. Another woman had been hollering about how all liquids had to be in bottles of less than 3.5 ounces, and all in plastic bags. That makes no fuckin' sense whatsoever, so I'm happy my saline solution made it through while not inside a plastic bag!! I left my shoes off after stepping through the magically secure portal, and while shopping for something (anything) less than 5 dollars at the souvenir shop. Got Ami a bottle of supa-hot sauce, which I hope she'll really like. Didn't get anything for the kids at Family Mart, but I did think about them. I'm super tired right about now. The banana made it through by simply chillin' in my pocket. permalinkFlying 6:25pm CDT Wednesday 15 August 2007 (day 13658) On the plane now next to a woman from The Philippines who is going back to visit her family after two years in Florida wih her husband. She's from Cebu island , which is "like a comma" among the 70000 islands of Te Pilippines. There are four hours to go on this flight. I slept pretty darn well between our first two meals, and I think there's another meal to come.. Currently I'm not able to see really well because my contacts are out, and I never found my glasses after coming back to my dad's after MKP weekend. Holy cats. My hard drive is completely freaking out and I'm not impressed. Is it software? WTF is making it so messed up? I'm going to put my computer away now. Sleepy-time for you, computer.
