I like your chicken soup concept.

So, to answer your question about why I want to break up with Ami:

I don't want to break up with Ami.

BUT I think it's important to be able to express myself to Ami.  When
we hit a language barrier, that can be difficult, so I think "man,
fuck this; I could be talking to __English-speaking-babe-of-the-week__
and not have this problem."

We are going to Talk tonight, and I feel confident that we'll be genki
chicken soup after that.

(We talked briefly on the phone last night and everything was fine.)

So, I have a question for your question:

"Do you love Ami?"

What do you mean when you say, "love"  ??

Despite the slew of comics I posted, I did get some work done today.

i basically finished a project, although it was nothing more than a week's worth of playing with mySQL DBs an tweaking some PHP while trying to spend at least as much time on the Castle.

I sent to 井上さん the list of files that I edited so he can upload them to the test server. I basically refused to hang out at work for an hour and wait for him to arrive at 7pm when I had a meeting scheduled with Ami at 6:30.

The Talk with Ami

Talking with Ami tonight went very well. I basically told her all the stuff that I've layed out here in the past couple of days, that my brain had been triggered a few times in a row due to various issues in my history, and that I needed to learn to set boundaries. Like on Wednesday, I needed the option to tell Ami "I can't meet you tonight," and know she would be okay with that.

I couldn't bear to say it given that we have just recently shifted our hang out days to Wednesday, Friday night, and Saturday afternoon - Sunday, whereas we used to meet nearly every night.

Ami understood everything, had all the right reactions; we're getting back into the chicken soup.

Tonight, upon entering the kitchen, a new face was there: Natalia. She's from northwest Spain (I didn't hear the city name clearly) and was a Spanish teacher with NOVA until it went belly up a few weeks ago. (*)

(*) this is the first example of me "noticing" that NOVA went bankrupt.

No prob for NOVA updates.  Honestly, I haven't *noticed* much
different.   No rioting in the streets, not a hot topic at work.  The
only difference I've seen (and only because I was looking for it): the
lights are off and the pink bunnies are not in the window of the NOVA
at Nakameguro.

Anyway, Natalia said she'd be happy to help my Spanish, although her Spanish is not what I studied in HS, (Latin American version,) but, strangely enough, Spain's version.
