I saw Soozymom's 2007 survey on her blog. Down below mine, I made a copy of just the questions if you wanna do it yerself.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
   kissed Ami
   realized I could possibly settle down with one woman
   wrote 50,000 words of a novel (first draft)
   started my own religion
   started to enjoy coding in PHP
   learned Subversion
   did a screening for a drug trial

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
   I don't make resolutions as such

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
   Maggie and Bill, Marcel and Kayse, Kevin and Yuki, Yoko and Mark

4. Did anyone close to you die?
   um, not that I can remember

5. What countries did you visit?
   Texas for a month.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
   an iPhone
   multiple income streams
   big Japanese speakin' skillz

7. What date(s) from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
   I don't remember dates, but I remember events: the time I was snuggling with Ami at Futakotamagawa and called R____ to break up with her.
   Karaoke after beach cleanup in Chigasaki
   Karaoke overnight, plus walking around with Ami near 小杉 the next morning; our first kiss
   NIN concert

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
   individually surprising my dad, Dude, my mom, janette, all of SWUUSI, and Fred
   Getting a non-teaching job in Japan

9. What was your biggest failure?
   not surprising Fred more effectively

10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
    hurt my knee playing ultimate, but it's all better.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
    rice maker

    mine

    zero

    Southpark, Futurama (but only via downloads; no commercials for me)

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
    I don't hate anyone

    A Walk in the Woods, but only because it was the only book I read

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
    I found a great happy ringtone that rings every time Ami calls

    IT job

    mo money at my job

    I turned 13,500 days old, and played ultimate frisbee that day. no real party though

    immeasurably more chocolate chip cookies and egg nog

Dream

8:54am JST Sunday 30 December 2007 (day 13794)

train ride was cold, and I had no jacket. But it wasn't that cold.

as I arrived at the party, I noticed I had a pimple right under my eye, but I went in and was surpised to see everyone sitting around like slugs. I was like, "hello party!!" and they were like, "there's no party..." and I'm like, "what are you talking about? We can have a great party!"

There were cups and drinks available, but untouched, music on in one side of the room. Weird that they were bummed. But I was like, "first, I gotta go to the restroom and see about this zit."

I woke up and no zit. Nice.

Novel

Sweet. I finished 50,000 words in my novel... I completed the nanowrimo challenge! (I just did it a month late). Now I've got to do a spellcheck on all the chapters and then I may let a few peeps read what I've got so far.
