2008

3:16pm JST Wednesday 9 January 2008 (day 13804)

I like writing 2008 by hand. When I write 8, I draw two stacked circles. (Because if I try to make a curving "figure 8," it looks misshapen, or a lot like a 6 when I write too quickly.) SO, writing 2008 including drawing 4 circles. I like drawing circles.

Got a cute email from janette once I got home this morning, commenting on my coversation with my god:

isn't it funny that god has your same sense of humor?
:~)

I wanted to really talk to her about the conversation with my girl last night, but I just made a passing reference to the mysterious future.

Haha yes; She's a real riot!

I'm hoping, however, that you will enjoy my sense of humor in the next
couple of days.

Plus a little bonus of my recent janette-related news:

I finally (!) stitched up three (3) spots on my lovely lovely quilt.
This was in preparation for meditation workshop this weekend. I took
the quilt to the Awakening the Third Eye two day workshop, and the
next day went back for the above mentioned ISIS thing. Good stuff.

Hopefully I'll be taking lessons in Reiki starting this month or so.
Definitely by next month.

It's 2am here; I would write more, but I'm too tired to get it
straight. In the end, I think of you often.

   Love Love

Funny. I started that entry and didn't get anywhere. brb

Okay; I got a bit distracted on Wikipedia reading about my main man TNH, and then on wikibooks reading the section on Sets in Formal_Logic. I remember most of this from Mr Reagh's class, I think.

Oh, so at work, I uploaded three sets (haha) of changes to the production server. One was a union of two sets of changes, with 6 and 8 changed files respectively, resulting in 10 files uploaded. The other set was a pair of files. This was a quick and easy change: adding just a pair of changes, where each change was a set of 5 lines of added code.

Then أوأ«¤µ¤َ gave me the outline of the next mission: allowing people to get credit for inviting their friends.

Ami and left work around the same time and met up in Jiyugaoka on the Limited Express (actually more like supa-express) and then walked to the bottom of the stairs (escalator) in Kosugi station before parting for her train to get her bicycle and some groceries, and me to walk home and buy and carry water, respectively. On the way home, I walked mindfully a la Thich Nhat Hanh, and made it to my house around the same time as Ami. She cooked lovely yakisoba and some vegetable soup, including enough for my lunch tomorrow.

After dinner, she asked me to clarify some of the points in my journal entry from yesterday. I watched my brain carefully; I may not have explained how I don't appreciate being grilled over information I post, but she wasn't grilling as such, but it just sorta felt like it. I *am*, however, happy to answer questions about whatever, just not "why did you write this? and this?" etc. The answer is basically the same, "I don't remember; fuck off."

But I didn't really have that feeling with Ami, so it was all good. In the end she was satisfied to be sad, and I held her and said it was okay to be sad. (( This was after I quickly fixed a mistake on my part: I had been like, "how are you?" (no answer) "are you happy?" "no." "are you angry?" "no." "are you sad?" "yes." "why are you sad? shit, wait, no; scratch that. It's okay to be sad," and )) I just held her.

After a bit, we slept platonically for a bit, and she went home a bit ago.
