Entries this day: Catheter Chat_with_Tina Dose_one Drawing_blood Go_ctbriefs.net Go_work Haha_Futurama Catheter 6:47am JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) One dude (John, who gave me a copy of Futurama movie) suddenly stared snoring hardcore like middle of the night ZZZZZZ ZZZZZZ like crazy. The explanation was that as the catheter went in, the brain is like, "uh-oh, ou bloode pressure is too high," and turns the blood pressure down, decreasing oxygen and zonk out into ZZZZZ land. Before five thirty AM I woke up and could only remember that I had two dreams. After one, I woke up as from a bit of a surprise, and could only remember the last snippet of a scene, but then remembered Fred and I were driving somewhere on a highway. but I haven't remember past that, and now I don't remember the surprising scene. - - - - At 5:30am, they woke us up and and advised that we go have a whiz. I came back and the nurse put a warm gel thing on my left arm. Then after a bit of a rest while I tried to recall the dreams, a lovely catheter was inserted. In this ward room (pictures forthcoming), I'm in the third bed, so as they process all of us, I'm the third in line (there are some other rooms and I don't know in which order they are processed compared to this one). John is about the third to last, so I was resting gently when suddenly he started snoring and didn't even wake up for at least 2 snores when the nurse tried to rouse him. By the third snore the doctor and another nurse were attending, and he become conscious enough to say he was okay. Later, though, he said when he was first woken up he had no idea where he was. Everyone else seems fine, and John seems as fine as anyone who has just been kicked out of a chance to make $5000 in ten days of chillin' punctuated with needles and nurses. permalinkChat with Tina 7:40am JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) Wow. UH wants to take EVERYONES money so they have to let you take classes anywhere 7:20 AM me: wow. Can you take a picture of the setup? it sounds a lot different than when I was there. 7:24 AM tinaP: well...its in a room with a window...i cant really see the camera thing. same thing happens for a child psychology class.... you can also see last years lecture for that classpermalink Dose one 10:11am JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) The procedure:
Done. I choose that they were placebo slash otherwise harmless to my body. permalinkDrawing blood 12:06pm JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) HAha. I got a video of the nurses drawing blood from my catheter. The second and third parts of this clip were taken 30 minutes apart. 5:04pm JST Oh my gosh! 155 views already!!! I wonder why! (seriously) permalinkGo ctbriefs.net 5:29pm JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) ctbriefs.net, while still having no worthwhile content, does record to DB the openids of people who log in. permalinkGo work 6:29pm JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) I got permission from أوأ«¤µ¤َ to mess with the live server all this weekend. I told him on Monday it will either be better or the same as today. I'm hoping to get the User List thing working way faster and with more functionality. 10:19pm JST Friday 25 January 2008 (day 13820) I'm not sure why SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS isn't working as promised. Perhaps it's cause this query has nested SELECTs, but that seems strange. Without SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS, this query returns 25k records. With SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS, it reports a return of 55 records. wtf? permalinkHaha Futurama 12:12am JST Saturday 26 January 2008 (day 13821) Sweet. I just watched Futurama, Bender's Big Score! I liked it enough that I'm considering buying the DVD for the extra DVD features the DVD features. 1:01am JST Saturday 26 January 2008 (day 13821) You know, the funniest bit about Futurama was AND INTRODUCING XYXJSD whatever that name was, but the character only was onscreen for less than a second in about the least important role, just shuffling through the line.. Hahahahah I didn't realize it until later.. I saw the intro "Introducing" and I was like, "what??? why??" and then saw the character shuffle by and was like, "aight; here it comes.." and then it didn't come and I forgot until the whole movie was over and I just found myself giggling in bed when I thought about it. 2:04pm JST Saturday 26 January 2008 (day 13821) Also, axed: permalinkprev day next day |
