At y dad's house, at a dining room table near the kitchen (actually in the game room) with a Japanese yamamba girl to my right who had just happened to sit there. I didn't want to dissuade her nor openly attract her, but I was happy to share food with her. I noticed behind me, Wende was standing against the door frame, watching without comment. I was like, "eep" and didn't know if / what she had seen, but she acted like she saw nothing.

On the large TV screen in front of us, someone threw a frisbee, which I caught, but the new girl did not notice even though the disc had almost hit her.

Later, I tried to apologize to Wende, but she was like, "no, *she* is your new girlfriend now."

Eeeep.. but I just now remember the filenames are mangled beyond recognition.. Does it matter? Argh. I'll still do it just to see how I feels about it afterward.

Frack. For some reason I can't export to my new gallery using iPhoto_to_Gallery. Bah. That's the only thing I wanted to do with it.

Improving ctbriefs.net

Toying around with catastrophic errors in ctbriefs.net. Basically want to have it gracefully recover from the DB going down. This is a rather unlikely scenario, so if it's not easy to handle, I may not worry about it. I haven't given it a thorough inspection though.

Next steps are to handle users going to the template files directly instead of the main files. Like I have admin.php which includes admin.template.php. If they visit admin.template.php, it will croak. So I need to have it automagically refresh to its parent.

Sweet. Now ctbriefs.net displays the theories in the DB. It displays *all* the theories in the DB, so a malicious user could post a bunch of theories just to jam up the server. But since no one else has even logged in to the site yet, I'm not too worried.

Next steps will be to tweak the where and limit of the theory fetchin' mySQL query so I can show users only their theories on mypage.php, and to limit the number of queries on the front page.

My meditation group has just started their meeting without me. I thought about calling them in the shower but chose not to rush out. I had remembered to call at 5:40 or so and then forgot during the 6 o'clock hour. That's when we're allowed to arrive (physically or by phone) and then they started at 7pm.

I'm now going to meditate with them. Just from over here.
