Entries this day: Dream ECG Hahah_quote_of_the_day Voting_almost_done_on_ctbriefs.net Zzzz_ctbriefs.net Dream 10:17am JST Friday 1 February 2008 (day 13827) With Laura (Guennie) and trying to remember the door code to get into her house. I had heard it once years and years before, and remembered it as 693-3, but then I carefully overheard her telling a friend and it was significantly more complex like 64693-52 or something. I recognized that I was dreaming and tried hard to lock the numbers into my brain, knowing that symbols like that tend to flitter away (as they seem to have done) A sense of traveling somewhere, but I've waited too long to type. permalinkECG 10:22am JST Friday 1 February 2008 (day 13827) For about 25 or 30 minutes after being woken up by the sounds of ECG machines beeping to life and nurses flittering around us in sequence, I meditated on keeping my dream in my brain. To a degree I was successful; normally I would remember nothing of this morning's dream (it was so innocuous so as to make no lasting impact). But that's not why I'm writing. I took pics of the ECG (as much for Fred (who's nearly an MD in this arena) as) for my journal here. Heart rate 48 BPM. Nice. For some reason, when I enhanced these pics they doubled in size to 5 megabytes each. permalinkHahah quote of the day 2:42pm JST Friday 1 February 2008 (day 13827) Jon, Ryland, and Marcus are playing a shooting game. Marcus: "Oh man, my bullet went through your head, but you didn't die!" Ryland: "Yeah, I thought both of us were going to die there, but neither of us did. Well, except you did." permalinkVoting almost done on ctbriefs.net 5:07pm JST Friday 1 February 2008 (day 13827) Though it's only on the test server, I've almost got the voting aspect of ctbriefs.net done. Well, actually I've almost got the logging of votes, but not yet the totaling of votes nor when to declare something as spam (something like if 10 users say it's spam before 10 votes are logged, it's spam). If an admin or theory-writer deletes a theory, it's deleted. If an admin clicks spam, it's just voted as spam and not change_status to spam. Actual vote votes for admins count the same as users. That's already done. But if an admin clicks spam, it's instantly spam like bam! Naptime for a bit. 6:57pm JST Nice. I slept diligently through 40 minutes of my vibrating phone alarm every five minutes which I had set for 6pm. permalinkZzzz ctbriefs.net 3:40am JST Saturday 2 February 2008 (day 13828) Okay, the voting is done. I finished it a few hours ago. TO: Jesse, Dude, Fred DT: 12:26am Saturday 2 February 2008 SB: Aight The delta version (pre gamma, pre beta, pre alpha) of http://ctbriefs.net is up. (Jesse, it's different than when you saw the epsilon version an hour ago) The next thing to do (in anticipation of the huge onslaught of users (more like "nonslaught")) is to limit the number of theories that are displayed at a time. Right now the front page displays *all* the non-deleted theories in the system. Once I get that done (hopefully this week), I'll call it the gamma version and tell a few more people. Since then, I have been working on the development server to set a default date_format for users who are not yet logged in, give feedback to the user when they log in (or when they don't), and to allow sorting of theories. The sorting mechanism is in place, but the UI isn't working yet. 4:00am JST Okay, now bedtime. I just wanted to upload a picture of my stuff that I gotta pack tomorrow. Wake up is at 10am. permalinkprev day next day |
