Entries this day: AM_Meditation Distraction Work karaoke_with_Travis_and_Ami AM Meditation 10:52am JST Wednesday 2 April 2008 (day 13888) I woke up without an alarm at 6:30am or so and then proceeded to do all three of my 24-minute reiki things right in a row. Actually I did two, then took a shower and did the last. Interesting to notice the ideas come up in my head like, "oooo damn this is a great idea I should do it right now!!!!" and then reconnecting to my meditation and then yet another great idea!!! What's super more interesting: though I've seen countless times before, (in all sorts of situtations, esp. meditation or when I "should" be doing homework or work work, or simply being aware of where I am...) I've nearly finished reading a book that explains what could be causing these huge and hugely distracting GREAT IDEAS that are really just little nothings. The book, _REGRESSION: past-life therapy for here and now freedom_ by Dr Samuel Sagan (ISBN 0-9586700-0-5), uses the (ancient) term "samskara" for the little sources that balloon into fantastic ideas and plans that can disrupt me for hours or years. I'm beginning to catch these right after they balloon into great ideas, but *before* they catch my brain on their runaway trains of thought. permalinkDistraction 2:08pm JST Wednesday 2 April 2008 (day 13888) Gotta get back to work, but just wanted to post some links I found via an article in Daily Tech. The actual images they mention have been culled from Google, but there are some similar images still available as I write this. The first time I did a test shift, it didn't work at all, and didn't produce any errors. I figured out what else needs to change, cleaned up that code and am about to test everything again... after a little break. 7:16pm JST Aight; I'm rockin' out of work now. Got the plan written for tomorrow. This is my great accomplishment for today: ユーザnameはアップロドをやめて cd /home01/old/htdocs/templates ls -al upload.* cp upload.tpl upload.tpl080403 ls -al upload.* mv upload.tpl.no_up upload.tpl まだユーザnameは新しいプロダクトコードをダウンロドして cd /home01/ mv /http_local /http_local_production_mae asvn co svn.server.repository/http_local http_local cd http_local find . -name templates_c find . -name templates_c -exec ls -l {}/../ \; | grep templates_c ユーザrootは新しい httpd.confをインスタールして cd /usr/local/apache/conf ls -al httpd.* diff httpd.conf httpd.conf.production_svn mv httpd.conf httpd.conf.before_svn mv httpd.conf.production_svn httpd.conf /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl -k graceful =============================================================== 大変だったらバークして ユーザname cd /home01/old/htdocs/templates cp upload.tpl080403 upload.tpl ユーザroot cd /usr/local/apache/conf ls -al httpd.* diff httpd.conf.before_svn httpd.conf mv httpd.conf httpd.conf.production_svn mv httpd.conf.before_svn httpd.conf /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl -k gracefulpermalink karaoke with Travis and Ami 12:23am JST Thursday 3 April 2008 (day 13889) Fun times tonight with Travis and Ami in Shibuya. First I opened a ラムネ bottle the wrong way (I knew the right way) and Travis asked about it, so I showed him the right way and then turned it upside down and shook it on his question and suggestion, respectively. Squirted unceremoniously and a bit wastefully; we shoulda gotten it on video! I had my camera right there, too. Oh, he showed me a dope flexible tripod he has; actually it wasn't his idea originally, but it's cool. Basically a camera on a string that can be made taught to keep the camera steady. I watched the girls around us as we ate. One girl had on busies with busies with busies! Shirt, skirt and stockings were three different color patterns! Cool. Then to karaoke where and hour and a half went by like zooooom! I sang some Eminem, Nas, Fatboy Slim, and others I don't remember. Travis was more rockin', but had a couple of hip hop hits in his set. Ami sang all Japanese songs, but didn't sing any I knew. Ami and I joked around on the way home; it was fun. I like Ami. permalinkprev day next day |
