I'm pretty far behind in all the stuff I want to put online: pics of Uncle Cow from the conference, journal of the conference, and blog of the conference, plus a few notes on all the vids I've watched recently, and maybe even pull a clip of the John Lear clip (from project camelot's part 1 of their 4 part interview) and post it as a response to the NPT (no planes theory) video I copy-posted on youtube.

Oh, plus I need to write to Kim Sawyer for a monthly update thing.

AND a State of My Life Address.

But right now, I gotta do some work related stuff at work.

Work was/hasbeen aight today: actually I was pretty dang productive for some hours in a row: I smashed through an entire page of items on my checklist (large size handwriting) and think everything is cleaned up so it will work perfectly tomorrow.

BUT, I was unable to create a copy of the DB (tried to export it, but the result is a zero byte file) because the DB name is test-e and I'd rather it be called live or some such.

I wanted to talk to my boss' boss about payday (I think I got too much), but he went into a meeting as soon as he arrived around 6pm or so. Hopefully they'll be done soon, but doesn't really sound like it. I would bust in but he and my boss are in there with some customer I've never met/seen/grokked before.

Got an email from Akiko saying that she was bummed due to some nonsense at work. I called her and she called me back; basically she got shifted to a new position and was informed of the change as a "welcome back here's your new job" after Golden Week (multiple national holidays in a row).

We'll both be in Shibuya at 9pm (me to meet Hideo, and she for EV lesson) so we're going to meet for a bit after that.

Lovely to see Ami again so soon; I love her new necklace (that I got for her). It's a hematite heart with hematite beads from Kenya. She had been wearing two thin-chain necklaces that would get tangled together; this one looks great.

Also great was the dinner she made: a new kind of noodles from something something I dunno exactly. They were flat and she called them はかはき or something.

At one point during dinner, I was massaging her legs and she was telling me about some TV show she had seen talking about how younger and younger people are getting old people's diseases or some such. and I was like, "stop watching TV!" in a firm but gentle way

And I am caught between my wanting her to stop doing what she likes because I hate TV vs letting her do what she likes because I like her, bs encouraging her to stop doing something that I think is harmful to herself because i love her, vs me doing things that are harmful to myself becuase I'm as human as the rest of us humans.

I was thoughtful for a moment, and she was like, "what?"

I got, "I guess you like TV don't you?"

Afterward, we were both quite tired as indicated that neither of us was in a playful mood, but we did play around on FFS and Ami bought a bunch of pets that she thought were undervalued. She had bought two the previous day and they sold within an hour or so, and so she bought everal more.

I played her pet as she was leaving, and she was like, "stay!" and "go home!" and it was cute. Fun for me and I hope for her.
